Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Church View)Apr 2025

Apparently no Wi-Fi, which for us was not essential, but the teenagers found it an issue - although we did want a site that was quiet. Using mobile data was a pain and Wi-Fi, even for a cheeky laptop movie, would have been a bonus.

Absolute hidden gem

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Church View)Apr 2025

Received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived onsite, hosts are really helpful. Facilities are excellent! Lovely and modern and absolutely spotless. The little shop onsite has all the little things you may have left at home and enough goodies to keep you going. (There is a large Tesco just over 10 minutes away for any emergencies too). The local pub is a few minutes walk and very well priced. We didn't get to eat there as they needed a booking, which is something to bear in mind. However there were food trucks onsite both nights we were there. Highly recommend and we hope to return.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Lighthouse View)Apr 2025

Lovely location for the beach and clifftop walks, with great villages, cafes, in each direction along the coast. We received a very warm welcome from Simon, who showed us where to empty waste water and then guided us to our pitch on the perimeter at the far end of Lighthouse View field. It was rather close to the neighbouring caravan but there were free spaces at the other side initially. However, by Good Friday, the site was absolutely rammed (understandable) and the very close pitches made us all feel like sardines crammed in. Other areas of the camping site seemed less packed though. On Easter Saturday evening, the EHU power supplies were clearly struggling to cope with the numbers using the system as it kept tripping or just failing at the mains. On a more positive note, the shower blocks and facilities are excellent and the shop was well stocked with useful items. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. In sum, a lovely campsite in a nice quiet location, but I would avoid it at peak times.

a great stay

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Lighthouse View)Apr 2025

First time here and we had a wonderful stay. A bit remote, but that is the way we like it. If there is one thing perfect would be a play area for younger children. The on site shop was reasonably priced and well stocked. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, giving great advice on the local area and history.

Exceptionally clean

Toilet block was very clean and staff really welcoming. Only dropped a star due to lights by washing up sinks not working so couldn’t see after dark. Reported to office & they were happy to sort out.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Church View)Apr 2025

Our first visit to Happisburgh (two of us plus dog) we found the site easy to find alongside the main road near the village. From reception we accompanied to our grass pitch which was equipped with drinking water and electricity. The areas for pitches are quite large and provide.lots of room for dog walks and children to play and facilities (toilets, showers) are new and well designed and are the best we’ve seen. Motorhome service points are close to the shower/toilet block and are well set out and the area has good waste disposal facilities. Additional lighting at night would be nice for those late visits to the facilities. Happisburgh is an interesting place which has been subject to massive coastal erosion so it is sad to see the village map showing how much has been lost to the sea and how much loss is expected over the coming years. The village pub is in easy walk of the site and serves good food and this and the church nearby are well worth a visit. The sandy beach is great for children and dogs and this and the coastal walks are great for exercise. The high tide bell on the beach is a really interesting feature that we’d never seen or heard of until this visit. You are unlikely to forget the stay at Happisburgh and we’ll no doubt be returning.

We found the site very good, lots of space and toilets and shower block immaculate would recommend this site to friends and family immaculate

Very clean, comfortable bathrooms and toilets. Good sized pitches with grass, friendly staff, about 12 min walk to the Happisburgh beach and the pub was a 5 minutes walk. It had everything we needed, highly recommended. We will book again.

Nothing bad to say at all, very clean facilities and spacious grounds. Everything all in one place and the little shop for essentials is great. Friendly hosts. Dogs loved it and so close to the Happisburgh lighthouse.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Lighthouse View)Sep 2024

Really nice site, clean and friendly, a little bit out the way and pitches are quite close together. There's a pub in the village but no restaurant or supermarket, but the surrounding area is lovely with lots to see and do.

Very good campsite

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Lighthouse View)Sep 2024

Each pitch has plenty of space for caravans, with awnings or tents, and has access to electricity and water nearby. The showers and toilets are kept very clean (even after a night of heavy rain). Make sure you take a good torch if you need to visit the toilet after dark, as there are no lights, which makes it good for stargazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they helped us out a couple of times during our stay. Thank you to Simon who stayed to wait for us when we were 2 hours late.

Will stay again

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Field View)Aug 2024

As expected, great location, clean facilities and quiet. Just 10-15 minutes walk from the beach and 5 minutes walk from the nearest pub. Despite check in closing at 5pm, we were allowed to put up our tent when we arrived much later than that, so very friendly service. Will for sure visit again as we loved the location, great for long walks.

Must visit, favourite campsite visited yet

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Lighthouse View)Aug 2024

Great location for exploring the local area an and beaches, the Broads are only a short drive away. We visited the lighthouse and climbed to the top, which was a great experience. Horsey Gap beach is not too far and we got to see the seals sunbathing, which was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our first holiday in Norfolk. Would definitely return to this campsite. It was clean, spacious and quiet and most importantly, free of seagulls! My least favourite part of camping at the coast usually 😅😂

Great location and facilities

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Church View)Aug 2024

We booked mid week. We are familiar with the area and live in South Norfolk. The setting here is truly gorgeous and only about a mile from the beach. There's a little shop (which I admit, we did not use) friendly staff and generous pitch sizes. The most impressive part (for me) were the facilities, very clean and like new. Showers are a good size with space to keep things dry - the water pressure was okay and the block open 24 hours. Washing up facilities saved our water for another day. There were children and dogs all over the site but everyone was responsible and the evenings and nights were quiet. Everybody was having a good time. Beach walks are lovely in Happisburg and I swam in the sea (carefully and with other people) it can be dangerous there because of the coastal erosion.
