A note from the site themselves...
We are the Connor family, we live in the main house at The Wildings Elms Meadow. We spent much of our early career working full on jobs in London but after losing a close loved one, we decided to pack it all in and brought a campervan. For six months, we drove through 18 European countries with our 6 month and 3 year old daughters. A kind of cathartic journey where we could process the grief and reassess what was important.
During that journey, we parked up for the night on farmers fields, in woodlands, campsites, beaches and city centre car parks. We were exposed to the most magical places and experiences.
People opened their homes and hearts to us in a way that we didn't expect, exposing us to the beauty of humanity. Over time, we built a dream of setting up a small intimate, camping/glamping site that offers a natural space for people to slow down, reconnect with each other and nature. The Wildings Elms Meadow is us putting that dream into practise!
We are environmentally conscious and this runs through everything we do from recycling facilities, refilled toiletries, rewilded areas. We look forward to meeting you and offering a magical place for you to create your own special memories.
Grass pitches large enough for a 7m x 5m unit, plus extra space, with the option of 10 amp electric hook up. Each pitch comes with its own picnic bench. Suitable for tents and trailer tents only.
This is the most awesome place I have ever found. It is so peaceful, so relaxing and so beautiful. I cannot praise this place enough. I have had the best 6 days ever just chilling with my dog in peace and quiet. Awesome walks. So relaxing and beautiful people
This has been the best days I've ever had to get away from everything and much needed, I stayed in a shepherd's hut and wow, the place is so amazing. Away from everything but all shopping etc is just 8 miles up the road, but you'd never know. I needed this break from everything and it's given me everything I could wish for.
The owners have provided everything I need and more and I am blessed to have found this place. I will be returning again as soon as it's available as it's just truly amazing.
If you want a break away from everything and a busy life, as I did, or just a romantic break then this is it. Awesome walks, everything close by, just awesome.
Beautiful little gem

Small Tent - Optional Electric Grass PitchesJul 2023
Stayed here and we are so glad we did! It's tucked up, out of the way and is so peaceful! The pitches are a really good size, so you're not cramped in with other campers and the toilet/shower facilities are lovely and clean and very modern!
There is a lovely cat named Ozzy, who may come to visit and he is so friendly! And there are chickens too!
There is an honesty kitchen for sweets and bits, and a fridge that the visitors can use, as well as a kettle, toaster, hob and washing up facilities. The owners are lovely and their children are very polite and well mannered.
We took our dog and he also loved it! Definitely worth a stay here!
Pleasant stay
