About the site

This a family business and it has been welcoming visitors to the Solway Coast for over 40 years. Brighouse Bay is a rural park in prime position, with views over the Irish Sea. It's perfect for those who want to get away from it all and feel like they have truly escaped the hectic pace of city life. Here you'll find a great range of pitches which include hardstanding and fully serviced options. You'll even have the chance to camp right by a Gloster Meteor plane on the park! A selection of wider pitches are designed to be accessible for guests who are wheelchair users. Or, if you fancy going glam, you can hire a cabin pod and stay warm, cosy and sheltered in the heart of the outdoors.

Things to do on site and in the Kirkcudbright area

The park's leisure club is home to a fabulous heated indoor pool, as well as mini 10-pin bowling and a great cafe with free Wi-Fi, where you can relax and sip something tasty.

But that's not all, why not bring the family and have them get a taste for pony trekking, pitch and putt, or an impressive 18-hole golf course! Some activities are seasonal and are therefore not available all year round.

Stepping away from site, you'll be spoilt with lovely woodland walks and the beach close by. Enjoy taking in the lovely views as you relax and unwind or explore further afield.

If you're keen to hop on two wheels, there are mountain bike trails to test your skills. Just bring along your bike and helmet and pedal off into the distance!
