Clear filters Lovely 2 night stay
VW-Type Campervan - Small Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 From check-in to departure, everything was great. The washing up area, toiletries and showers are clean and tidy.
Our pitch size was perfect for 2, but I would likely get a bigger size if there were more of us.
From the campsite, there are loads of walks and Robin Hood's Bay is only a short walk away.
Whitby is a short drive or a 13-mile round trip walk, but what a fantastic coastline walk it was.
Great value for money.

Grass pitch in a campervan
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field) Apr 2024 The grass pitches were all waterlogged, so the offer of a hard standing was accepted.
Suitable protection under the awning prevented any damage.
Great access to Robin Hood's Bay. Bring your wellies.

Mid April stay 2024
Twin Axle Caravan - Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 The site is well positioned with accurate information on walking times to Robin Hood's Bay etc. The shower block, whilst clean, was on the cold side. You also have to undress then start the shower which is on a 5 min timer. Fair play to save water but let's keep everyone warm.

Lovely, spacious pitches and spotless campsite
Motorhome - Extra Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Lovely site with a helpful friendly lady to greet you, spacious pitches and spotless site. The toilets and showers are nice and warm, a lovely walk to Robin Hood's Bay from the site and only 5 miles drive from Whitby.

Nice little campsite

We stayed overnight as a stop between our trip along the coast.
Great location with a lovely off road walk 10 minutes into Robin Hood's Bay. Dog friendly, which is great for us as we have 2.
Facilities were clean and all in working order.
Site we pitched on was hard standing with electric hook up, great for no mud trailing into our camper 👍🏼

Excellent value
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Mar 2024 Our first stay in a pod accommodation and it was a great experience. We booked a couple of weeks beforehand for two of us and the dog.
We arrived on Saturday at 5pm and checked in with a friendly and informative gent who told us where the pod was and how to get to the pub!
The pod was clean and tidy, minimalist as is the style, but no complaints here and nothing missing, broken or worn out. The only comment would be that the decking is slippery when wet, so watch your step. Weather to blame, not the site!
The camping field wasn't in use yet and for good reason, it was absolutely sodden. Hopefully it improves before people try and pitch tents on it.
The facilities block had toilets, sinks, showers and outside washing up facilities. The block was warm, very clean and all fresh and working as it should.
The pod heating worked well enough overnight and we slept well.
Packing down in the morning was simple and a simple key drop at reception ended out brief stay. At £66 for the night, it was amazing value and we'll be back, next time with our kids and a couple of pods. Can't wait. Thanks for an excellent stay.

Great weekend stay
Motorhome - Extra Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2024 Great stay. Lovely clean site, with very clear instructions for a hassle-free stay. The location was great. There's a pub about a 10 min walk away that does great food. Can't wait to return.

Nice site and facilities but a disappointing pitch Twin Axle Caravan - Extra Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2024 The site is well laid out and the facilities were clean and of a high standard. There was very low occupancy because of the time of year and recent poor weather, and I wonder whether the facilities would be sufficient if the site were busy.
I booked an XL pitch for a caravan up to 9m and an awning. This was disappointing as if I had put up the awning, there would have been no room for my vehicle (necessary to comply with site rules). The pitch was simply not big enough and was also not level, despite being hardstanding.
Final note is that the roads are steep and narrow on the approach to the site and a wrong turn would see you having to cross a Ford, which has a steep drop-in and exit. This might not be passable with a long caravan.
Also, a few extra miles into Whitby and out again avoids some of the most difficult roads. Some joining instructions covering routes to the site would be a good idea.

If you had wanted to book an awning and a 9-metre caravan, we wouldn't have been able to accept the booking unfortunately.
In regards to the roads to the site, we do have preferred directions on our website. We do have 48-foot articulated lorries come to the farm regularly, so the roads should be more than big enough for tourers and motorhomes.

Single Axle Caravan - Medium Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2024 Absolutely excellent site, a quiet position in the countryside and only a short walk to Robin Hood's Bay and a short drive/bus to Whitby. Everything you need on-site but most of all, peace and quiet.

Good location and quiet
Motorhome - Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2024 Really good location, only a 10/15 minute walk to Robin Hoods Bay and 5 minute walk to the village pub, which serves really good pub food.
The spot we had was really quiet which was perfect, with great views.
We would stay here again.

Solo Pod stay in January
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Jan 2024 Set in a picturesque village and very close to Robin Hood's Bay. The Pod was very clean and comfortable and I had a friendly welcome where I was provided with all relevant information.
Due to staying in January, I would recommend additional portable heating. The main block also wasn't open so has nowhere to wash plates etc. There was not much lighting on near the toilet facilities on a night so a torch is definitely needed.
Great views around the pod and site, which felt safe for solo travellers.

Although the main toilet block was not open due to refurbishment, there was pot wash, toilet and shower facilities open. You did happen to be here on the coldest period we have had for a long time.

Middlewood Farm stay
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Family Field) Jan 2024 A great weekend. Lovely, clean pitches and facilities and nice pub and shop in walking distance. Bit of a pain to get to with small roads and hills, but that's no fault of the park. All in all, was a lovely place and I would definitely go again.

Thank you for your great Park review. I think your Sat Nav has brought you to us the wrong way, as on the alternative route, we have 48 foot Artic wagons and the 12 foot wide Static caravans come to us.
