Quiet place to stay VW-Type Campervan - Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches (Main Field) Nov 2023 Nothing wrong with pitches, we went in our van. There was nothing around the site, no shop or food places. 10 min walk to nearest shop.
Walk to Robin Hood's Bay through a very muddy field, which you would expect at this time of year. We took the road, longer but cleaner.
The shower block was cold compared to other camps we stayed at and the lighting was poor.
OK if you want a quiet break away from it all.

We are situated in the very picturesque village of Fylingthorpe, which has a convenience store, a butcher/bakers and a very nice Pub which also does meals, these are all a 5 minute walk away, a 10 minute walk down to Robin Hoods Bay itself (down the stone path, possibly a little muddy in places, after the wettest Autumn in decades!)
There are a few bars, bistro's, cafes and shops. Alternatively, at the top of Robin Hoods Bay (a 10/15 minute walk along the lane) there are 2 large pubs which both do food, 2 restaurants and a post office/general store. We don't have a shop or bar or bingo on site, we don't need to, as we have everything on the doorstep already, as long as people are willing/able to leave their pitches and explore our beautiful area and walks. Some city centres have campsites with a taxi rank outside, maybe these would work better for you in future!

Nice campsite
Motorhome - Extra Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2023 It was very wet weather and the grass was all completely sodden, but it had been terrible weather. I'm sure when it's dry, it would be lovely. Shower block was overall very good, not pristine, but adequate, with nice big cubicles and hair dryers etc. All facilities were very close to our pitch, which made it much easier. Staff helpful and friendly.
Easy walk to Robins Hood Bay with the dogs. About 15 minutes quite uphill on the way back but nothing too hard.

Good location
Twin Axle Caravan - Extra Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2023 Pitch was not large enough for an 8 meter caravan. Electrics were only 10amp. No tap on pitch.

Fantastic
Motorhome - Extra Large Electric Touring Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2023 This was our first weekend in a motorhome and we couldn't have picked a better site. From arriving, we were met with a very warm and friendly welcome. Being our first time, there were things we had forgotten to bring or not known about, but the staff were more than happy to help!
The location is brilliant and is a lovely walk into the bay. I can't recommend it enough and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful setting and friendly staff
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Oct 2023 We had a lovely stay. The pods are clean and warm and facilities were clean and well maintained - perfect for camping. The views are beautiful. There's a good pub down the road with great food.
Not far from Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby.

Definitely stay again. Nice and quiet and the toilets shower block were bang on.

Great site
VW-Type Campervan - Small Non Electric Grass Pitches Oct 2023 Great site, easy to find, and close to Robin Hood's Bay. The nearby village has a great pub & a general store.
Washing facilities on site were good and clean. Reception staff were very friendly & knowledgeable.
Would definitely stay again as it's also relatively close to Scarborough.

Fabulous
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Main Field) Sep 2023 What a lovely site. We were on the family field in a VW Camper with electric hook up. Perfect. Spotlessly clean facilities and everything we could have wanted. Perfectly situated on the Cinder Track for walking and cycling and a very short walk into Robin Hoods Bay. We will certainly return.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Field) Sep 2023 Lovely staff, great facilities. Location is perfect, about a 10 minute walk to RHB, and the cinder track is just by the site, which is a lovely walk to Whitby.

Great campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Field) Sep 2023 Stayed for 4 nights on the family site in a VW camper with awning.
The staff are very approachable, the toilet/shower/washing facilities are dated but all clean. The site is an easy walk into Fylingthorpe (nice pub, good beer and food) or Robin Hood's bay.
Would happily go back to this site.

Perfect for Robin Hood's Bay
VW-Type Campervan - Medium Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 First night in a camper and had everything we needed. Toilets and showers clean and enough for the size of site.
7 minutes walk to the bottom of the hill into Robin Hood's Bay with a path to the cinder track next to the site.
Will definitely come back next year.

Best site in area
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Field) Sep 2023 Wonderful stay at Middlewood site. My wife and I stayed here on our holiday and were happy with everything. Perfect spot in amongst Yorkshire's beauty as well as close to the sea. If we needed a site next time we visit Yorkshire, we would be more than happy to stay here again.

Brilliant site
Small Tent - Small Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 Beautiful site, friendly staff & very clean. Showers were a bit disappointing as they only had 5 minutes on the timer. But other than that, we really enjoyed our stay & will most definitely be returning soon 👍
