Our first time camping and it didn't disappoint. The facilities were fabulous and clean.

We have just returned from a fabulous break at Newton House Farm. The location is perfect for lots of different local places such as the Foss Fall, Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby. There are several different pubs, restaurants within close driving distance. The facilities were clean, and perfect for what we needed. Be aware, they are at the top of a slight hill, no issues for us or our dogs but could be for others! The views were incredible, everyone staying was polite and respectful in terms of noise, and despite some wind, the weather has been spot on. Could not recommend the site enough, we will be back and would certainly recommend. Thank you.

Lovely place to stay good location, nice walks down the road and a Waterfall. The facilities are nice, only 2 toilets with the showers in but this wasn't a problem for us as there weren't many people there. The toilets and showers are nice but no hand soap when we arrived, but then some was put in. There is a kitchen there but I didn't use it, but went in and looks nice. Plugs to charge your phone and a kettle in there. Not much signal there, so perfect if you want time away from your phone. We didn't see anyone there but check in is in the kitchen area. Lovely place to stay and will be coming back again. The only thing I have is maybe the owners could put some lights on the fence up to the bathroom as it's very dark, so make sure you take torches with you. Myself, my partner and our dog stayed there - good for dogs.

We stayed at Newton House Farm for two nights and loved our stay. The little amenities building was brilliant to have for washing dishes etc and it was very clean. We loved saying hello to the cows every day as they moved around the fields outside of the campsite. Would recommend 👌🏼

Excellent from start to finish. Pod was well kitted out and had cleanliness of the highest standards. Milk, water, tea and coffee provided. The view from the pod was stunning, we enjoyed sitting out on the deck of an evening to appreciate both the view and the calm.

The campsite is a reasonable size, no shop but with individual communal toilet/ showers and modern kitchen room. It has lovely views over the fields and beyond. It has 2 toilet/ shower rooms for campers and 2 toilet shower rooms specifically for the 2 pod campers. The kitchen facilities are brand new and ideal if caught out on a wet night. There is a little upward pathway to get to the facilities. Plenty of space on the site and booking in is straightforward by signing into a book in the kitchen once fully set up. Be aware that you cannot park your car by your tent. However there is ample parking for cars in the car park next to the field for tents. There is no shop so make sure to have all food supplies with you. We didn't meet the owners/ managers so it's very much a sort yourself out sort of campsite. But the facilities are modern and all instructions are there to direct you to where to find things and what to do. Very happy with our stay here and would happily go back.

We really liked how peaceful the setting is and the lovely views. The kitchen area was great with a fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. The shower block is modern and clean. It's a short walk down to the waterfall, river and woodland. The position is great for getting to Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. Also great for our dog.

Loved it, a perfect location.10 minutes from Whitby. Stargazing was out of this world. Only downside of the site was only having 2 toilets/showers on a busy campsite.

Family /dog friendly. Basic facilities (2x toilet/shower cubicles) and small kitchen area. Great location. Toilets get busy when campsite is full. No hot water on one night we stayed.

A lovely site set in beautiful countryside with fantastic views. Location is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet with great local attractions such as Falling Foss, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay only a short distance. Beautiful countryside walks right from the campsite. As this is a tents only site with a maximum of 20 pitches and two glamping pods, this is a lovely, quiet site. Great facilities with a modern amenities block which houses a campers kitchens with toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge and washing up facilities which are really useful. Combined shower and WC (only two) can lead to queues at times. I would recommend this site if you want a quiet break.

Absolutely stunning location and a lovely site, nice and peaceful. 2 blocks with a shower, sink and toilet. Doesn't work when campsite is busy as there are no other toilets. Not everyone clears up after themselves either. This was the only downside. Kitchen facilities with kettle, toaster and microwave. There is also a fridge freezer. Will definitely return to this beautiful site.
Site's response
Thank you for the lovely review, Sarah. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and delighted that you would love to come back. We are planning to add more toilets to the site, in another block closer to the pitches and hope to have them completed this Autumn, ready for next season.

Loved the location of this site for exploring Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby and Saltburn. The local waterfall and coast-to-coast path are also great things to do nearby with a fantastic cafe for breakfast or cakes. The site itself is simple, a field with quite a slope - easy to find a space but there were a lot of tents there, especially on Friday and Saturday. Facilities were great (lovely hot showers) but had a bit of a wait sometimes as toilets and showers are in the same individual rooms, so you had to wait for people to come out.

The campsite is not the flattest you can find but that is compensated by gorgeous views from over the valley. It is fairly quiet and very family and pet friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there. Kitchen was enough even though the fridge was always full. Also car park fills quite fast and as it is very small you might end up parking on the grass. Definitely would go back there. Maybe booking one of the pods this time.

The camp site was what I expected, but the parking was in a different area compared to the pitch and it was quite difficult to unload and load the car as no cars were allowed anywhere near the tent site. Location was great. Very close to the Falling Foss Falls, with great view from the campsite. Facilities were clean but again, a bit of a trek from the tent pitches. There was one major drawback, which was that the campsite is on a slope , which makes life very difficult and harder to manage. Other than this, everything else was great.
