About the site

A peaceful site ideally placed next door to the Maryport Marina, Harbour Side Caravan Site enjoys stunning coastal scenery all around. Behind the site is the Lake District National Park 15 minutes away, with Skiddaw being reachable by a 40 minute drive. This idyllic, small caravan site has only 28 electric hardstanding pitches, suitable for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. There is a mix of grass and gravel pitches, each of these pitches measures 3m x 8m and has a water supply nearby. Or, if you're after something a little different, there's the option of three cosy camping pods. Each pod sleeps three people, two adults and one child. Please note, that bedding is not provided with the camping pods. Inside the pods, there is a kitchen with a fridge, microwave and crockery for all of your self catering needs. Outside there is a picnic bench to enjoy some alfresco dining. There's no shortage of things to do in the historic town of Maryport and all are within easy walking distance. Spend your days visiting top attractions close by, such as a Roman museum, a maritime museum and an aquarium all just a 20 minute walk from the site.

Cannot fault this site at all. What a great location, friendly welcome and helpful staff. Gravel pitch was perfect with included electric, water point and free Wi-Fi. Being right on the marina there was a little noise in the high winds, we had from all the boat rigging but other than that and the few gulls it was incredibly peaceful. Facilities were unbelievably spotless throughout, showers were great and water temperature perfect. Coin operated laundry facilities and indoor washing up area. Going on other reviews we had breakfast twice in the Marina cafe and so glad we did as it was incredibly good. Short walk to Lidl for groceries and nearby rail station with line to Carlisle and Whitehaven. Cockermouth a short drive away and Keswick not too much further. Would definitely recommend this site and return here in the future.
