Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Mollie's Meadow) Aug 2024 Needed somewhere for a couple of nights stay in Portland - great location to explore by foot from camp-site to local attractions. Facilities, although basic, were more than adequate and regularly cleaned. Friendly staff with reasonable prices. Met Dave the resident sheep - didn't say much though. :)
Lovely site Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sunrise Patch) Aug 2024 Lovely site, gorgeous views and friendly and help staff. Good value for money.S
Sweet Hill Farm Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Jul 2024 Great location with sea views. Easy to find and the check in team were very helpful. We will revisit in our camper.
Great camp Recommends site
Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Sammy's Paddock) Jul 2024 Good campsite and amenities. The only downside I found was that I had to pay separately for showers, I didn’t mind the timing of the showers but would have been nice if at least one token was included per night and not have to be bought separately.
Basic site VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Mollie's Meadow) Jun 2024 Don’t mind basic sites but this one was looking tired. Couldn’t get vouchers for showers as reception was closed.
Sea view campsite Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) May 2024 Very good location with sea views.
Fantastic Recommends site

If you want natural & chilled, then this is for you.
Can’t wait to come back Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) May 2024 Really loved my stay here and can’t wait to return. Perfect location with views of the sea and Portland Bill from the pitch, and the coast path only a 5 minute walk away. Incredible sunsets both evenings (one image from the pitch and the other from the coast path just out of the site). Loved that fire pits are allowed and the compost loos were great. Didn’t use the showers in the end so can’t comment on them.
Staff were super friendly and the coffee from the welcome hut was really good (cakes looked incredible too!). We didn’t join but loved the addition of live music on Saturday night. Sounded good from the tents!
Thanks for a great weekend!
First solo trip Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Apr 2024 As it said, nearly wild. Perfect for what I needed and a great location .
Didn't get to use the showers as the tokens were available at 9 am and I left early due to bad weather and a leaky tent.
Staff on the phone were helpful when I called to check-in.
Nice stay VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Mar 2024 Good stay at Sweet Hill, easy check in and exit.
Toilets were compost style but very clean. Showers were expensive in comparison to other sites. Showers required tokens to be collected from the cafe which was a little far from the shower block. Signage advising this or a change for token machine would be great.
There was a cafe on site with nice cakes and the staff were friendly.
Thank you Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Mar 2024 Friendly staff/owners, great location.
Facilities are functional but clean - showers were great! Check the wind forecast or bring your windbreak, as it can be blustery.
Absolutely amazing Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Mar 2024 Absolutely amazing place to stay.
Stunning views Recommends site
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Oct 2023 Great site to use our telescope due to the remoteness and no light pollution - we will be coming back in better weather.
Very good!!! Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Sep 2023 It was a very good stay, facilities were good and very friendly people.
Would return Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Sep 2023 We would definitely recommend this park as it is a few minutes walk to a gorgeous view of the sunset/cliffs. But there isn't a beach you can get down to from the campsite.
The facilities were great - shower block, compost toilets and portaloos, drinks/food van, social area. However, we would say that this definitely didn't make it 'nearly wild camping' - the thing that did this is the fact that the town surrounding it is very empty! (No fault of the campsite's). So if you are looking to explore a new town or go on lots of walks, this isn't really the place for you.
That being said, we made our own food, watched the sunset and just enjoyed the campsite so it was perfect for us. It was kept very clean and no one was noisy. Thank you!
Amazing location and beautiful place Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Sep 2023 Amazing location and beautiful place. The riding stables are on your doorstep and sea in minutes, with sunsets, lighthouses and climbers buzzing around the cliffs. The staff are great too!
What a wonderful place to stay Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Sep 2023 What a wonderful place to stay.
Great views, a peaceful site, and walking distance to Portland Lighthouse and a small beach to swim.
There was a lovely pub down the road serving good food, so all good. There was a hut serving food and drink throughout the day, which provided meals and drinks. Showers were great. The toilets were basic but actually didn't smell.
The best thing was literally sitting out at night, looking at the sky. No light pollution and the campsite was quiet. Be back soon, thank you so much!
Lovely Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Sep 2023 I had a wonderful stay.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Aug 2023 Simple facilities but everything you needed for a bit of semi-wild camping. The staff were friendly and the facilities were clean. There was lots of space and some great views.
The sweetness behind Sweet Hill Farm Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Aug 2023 An absolutely amazing find, having just camped around Bretagne, Sweet Hill Farm was as good as the best in France. The views and coastal walks were stunning.
Staff were so friendly with a fantastic cafe/bar. I was sad to have arrived an evening too late for the live music.
Shower facilities were fantastic for £1.00.
Plenty of space for everyone overlooking the wonderful views. As a solo camper on this occasion, I felt safe and secure and everyone was friendly and considerate.
Great site! Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Aug 2023 Loved staying here for a couple of nights with my 10 year old daughter.
We were blessed with good weather and the views were amazing. The location was great for a walk down to the lighthouse and explore.
Facilities were great, although my girl was not a fan of the composting toilet! The shower block was good and pot wash facilities available.
Fabulous to have Chelsie Equestrian Centre on site as well which made for a beautiful afternoons expedition.
Rustic peaceful site with great showers, views & walks Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Jul 2023 We came here as we wanted a remote site with a view. It's rustic but you can pitch where you like.
Fire pits are provided and the compost toilets are fine. The showers are lovely and warm and look new. It's an easy walk to Portland Bill with some amazing views. Being so remote it's really quiet and one we'll come back to when next down this way.
There is a well-stocked reception/shop/bar which serves breakfast, although we didn't use.
Our stay Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Jul 2023 A lovely place to stay with great walks and spectacular views. Did not use facilities as had all my own.
Wish there was somewhere to empty waste from toilet and grey water. All in all a lovely site with beautiful well kept horses too 😊
Lovely stay, stunning views Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Jul 2023 Excellent campsite. Highly recommended if visiting the Isle of Portland, or even as a base if branching out to the wider Jurassic coast.
Lovely, welcoming staff and a gorgeous location overlooking Portland Bill lighthouse and with a coastal cliff walk within a minute made it stand out.
Due to the location, it can get VERY windy so pack your best tent pegs! Also, due to this and the near-cliff top location, I wouldn't personally recommend this site for young children unless you could ensure constant eyes on them.
If you're looking for a friendly, chilled-out site where you can socialise if you want or keep to yourself for some RandR this is perfect. The stunning sea views and nightly sunsets over the Jurassic coast didn't hurt either. Lots of people take a gentle coastal walk down to the lighthouse to take it all in at sunset.
I didn't try the food, but it looked good and freshly-prepared.
I unexpectedly had to leave early and was absolutely gutted. Will return for sure.
Loved it Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sweet Hill Pasture) Jun 2023 Great camping spot in a lovely location. We had all the facilities we needed and enjoyed the coffee available at the campsite.
