Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

Brilliant site. We went for a spontaneous night away camping for me, my wife and young daughter. As soon as we arrived the service was great and we were escorted to our pitch and made to feel really welcome which for such a big site is so reassuring. Pitches were all nice and spaced out, and even though it was busy, it didn't feel like it at all Great facilities with toilet and showers and also brilliant breakfast and coffee stands. Also the fire pits were perfect for cooking our marshmallows on. Can't wait to stay again next year.

Busy yet friendly

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

It was the busiest, yet friendliest, site I have ever stayed on. Good atmosphere, great for families and groups. Staff were really helpful. We were there over August bank holiday and staff worked incredibly hard to make it work smoothly. Congratulations to the team at Petruth!

Booking in was easy and we were shown where we could pitch and told about the local area.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

My partner and I stayed at the campsite for two nights and enjoyed every minute. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, ushered into our pitch and explained where everything was. The campsite is in a quiet location, close to Cheddar Gorge. The facilities are superb, well-kept and clean. Despite the site being busy due to BH weekend, it didn't feel crowded, there were no queues for showers or toilets. The site seems well managed, with team members on-site late into the evening. Quite a few food trucks on-site (pizza and tiramisu is highly recommended!) A shop with all the essentials was also open well past 8 pm. We'd definitely stay again.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

We arrived after torrential rain so everything was muddy but staff were friendly, helpful and upbeat. Got taken straight to a lovely pitch and asked for extra space as we have a large tent which wasn't a problem at all. It was clearly a very busy weekend at the campsite but everything was great and the facilities were cleaned relentlessly to keep them nice and clean. Great location, a short walk from the village and Gorge. Really enjoyable stay and would highly recommend.
