About the site

Family owned, this coastal getaway sits within a peaceful 34 acre smallholding on Anglesey's north-east coast. Surrounded by open countryside and enjoying views towards the sea, the site is just a one minute walk from the golden sands of Lligwy Beach. The campsite is spread across five spacious, mainly grass fields, creating a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of room to unwind. During the low and mid season, one field is reserved for adults seeking an even quieter stay. Pitches are pre-allocated around the edges of each field and are either level or gently sloping, with a choice of grass or hardstanding options. All electric hook up pitches are within 24 metres of a 10 amp hook up and are laid out with the required six-metre spacing between units for added safety. BBQs are welcome, and bricks are available to keep them raised. Please note that fire pits are not permitted. Well-behaved dogs are allowed, provided they are kept on a short lead. Lligwy Beach allows dogs all year, so there are plenty of opportunities for scenic walks straight from the campsite!

The site opens on the 1st of April (or at Easter if earlier) and closes at the end of September.

Guests have access to toilets and free showers with hairdryers and shaver sockets. Two accessible rooms (£20 key deposit) include a shower, toilet and sinks, with one offering baby-changing facilities. The laundry area includes a washing machine and tumble dryer, plus washing up areas. WiFi is available for a small charge.

Additional facilities include warm beach showers, a dog wash, electronic fob-access gates (deposit required) and two 22kW EV charging points. The reception shop stocks essentials, ice creams, confectionery, tourist information and freezer block hire.

For food and drink, the Tipi Bar is a one minute walk away, and The Kinmel Arms is in Moelfre, a five minute drive or 30 minute stroll.

Site rules and policies

* Check-in is from 2pm until 4:30pm every day of the week, except on Fridays (mid season) and Saturdays (high season), when it is two hours later. Please advise the site if you are delayed.

* Check out is due before 11am unless a late departure has been arranged for a small charge.

* Dogs must be on a lead and supervised at all times.

* BBQs must be charcoal or gas (no wood BBQs allowed) and raised off the ground. Open fires, fire pits and fire bowls are prohibited.

* BBQs must be out by 10pm and not used as a fire after food has been cooked.

* There is a fee for burnt grass.

* The site's quiet policy operates from 10:30pm until 7am.

* Radios, televisions, electrical gadgets and music must be kept at a very low volume and must not at any time be heard outside the owner's unit.

* Reception is closed from 1pm to 2pm.

* A £20 or £40 cash deposit is to be paid on arrival for one or two key fobs. The cash deposit is returned at check out.

* Toilet tents are not permitted.

* Storage tents are only allowed by prior arrangement and are chargeable.

* Flags, banners or pennants are prohibited.

* Sleeping in an awning is not permitted. Breathable groundsheets must be used.

* At least 48 hours' notice is required for day visitors.

* Day visitors must check in with names, mobile numbers and vehicle registration on arrival and departure at reception. Charges apply.

* Day visitors are allowed on the site from 9am until 5pm.

Things to do on site and in the Moelfre area

Just a one minute walk from the site, Lligwy Beach is one of Anglesey's most popular sandy beaches, with plenty of space for families, paddlers and watersports enthusiasts. Dogs are welcome all year, making it a great choice for coastal walks in every season. The beach is also backed by dunes and enjoys scenic views across the bay.

The Wales Coast Path runs past the beach gate, offering walks along Anglesey's coastline, including the charming fishing village of Moelfre (a 30 minute stroll away), or follow the trail north towards Dulas, taking in dramatic cliffs, hidden coves and wildlife along the way.

Head to Beaumaris (25 minutes) where you can explore the impressive 13th-century castle, stroll along the historic pier or browse the town's independent shops and pier.

Families can enjoy Pili Palas Nature World, a 20 minute drive away, home to meerkats, butterflies and reptiles, with indoor and outdoor play areas to keep little ones entertained.
