Great stay, great site.

Absolutely great site for all, great entertainment and facilities for the kids. My kids at both below 6yrs old and absolutely loved the park areas and entertainment on site. Great friendly, helpful staff and Great clean site facilities. Would highly recommend

Lovely family site

This is my 3rd time staying at this site. It is a great site for families. My children now 12 and 8 have had the best time running around with other children they met on site. The showers are clean the toilets are well maintained. Entertainment was great this weekend. Food was nice. Good pitch sizes and a choice available on arrival. Will be going back next year.

Great park

Great park with good facilities for the kids. Facilities are very clean.

Lots of entertainment

Stayed for 2 nights as we wanted to visit Abraham Heights and Gulliver's theme park. Both were 25 minutes away. We also went for a walk around Matlock Bath town centre . Lovely girl on the gate gave us a option for a quite pitch or one near the entertainment. We chose quite pitch and got a lovely large area. We went to the entertainment at night so the kids could play and we had a drink. They had Mickey Mouse doing games for the kids and one of them Labubu things all the kids are raving about. Every child there loved that and were screaming with joy. There were 3 parks for the kids to play in and a nature walk/pond. We were quite surprised with the size of the park & the entertainment. 2nd night, they was a singer/band on. Lots of picnic benches and seats around the bar area. The 2nd night, we had to take our own camping chairs because all seats had been taken but we just set up in our own seats, not a problem. Overall, good camp and I would return. Only negative was one of our neighbours were having a party & had loud music on until 1am. I couldn't find a security number to call. It was a quiet area we pitched up on, so technically, that should include no music, especially until 1am. The family in question had a few kids who used foul language to each other all weekend which wasn't ideal when you have small children, but that's not the campsite fault. Overall, good camp - couple of girls on the till at the bar need to smile more.

Great for young families during holidays. For couples not so good . Sight a bit unkempt here and there and although it says dog walking area it's not great. If I had young family it's the best place to go, even have bingo and children characters.

Brilliant for families with children under 10. Not great for couples, no views, bit unkempt and not a good walking trail for dogs. Great for families meeting up together .

Rip off

Quite shocking, there seems to be seasonal caravans with awnings all over wherever there's a space. Our view from the pod was a dirty caravan with the awning half fallen down, just randomly there on its own amongst the pods. The camping fields look lovely but the hardstanding seasonal pitches look like they are nearly on top of each other.

Regarding your comments about the caravan: it had to be carefully moved from its usual pitch due to damage caused by the awning. This is currently under insurance assessment. We understand this may have affected the appearance of the area, but we are supporting a customer and following a necessary process — this was an unavoidable situation. As for the layout of our pitches, Golden Valley has been thoughtfully developed from natural woodland. Our pitches are shaped by the landscape, giving the park its unique charm. While they are not uniform, they do meet general camping and touring guidelines. We always welcome constructive feedback; however, it's important to clarify when certain claims may present a misleading impression of our site. Weekend stay (In a heatwave)

A lovely campsite. We will definitely be using on a regular basis for a quick weekend away. Kids playgrounds are amazing, and kept our boys entertained from Friday night to Sunday morning. Kids entertainment was just as good, and then music and discos in the evening. However by 10pm, the site becomes quiet to allow sleep for everyone. Onsite facilities were great, bar and cafe great. For our weekend away, we couldn't have found a better site.

Weekend break

Great stay, superb for children, animation team were great staff were great very helpful and attentive. If anything the crazy golf course requires serious attention. We will return in the future

Really lovely site and staff

Facilities for disabled a little tired and could do with an adjustable shower height replacement as it kept sliding down the pole when steamed up. Only marked these down a mark for the fact they look a bit grubby, but in fact, they were cleaned regularly and were clean, just tired. Lovely place overall. Service was great and even moved us to a pod (paid the extra) when my son struggled with the tent, so really accommodating and helpful. Campsite is lovely, lots of bits for the kids. Football tables, table tennis I think I saw, parks, sand pit (huge) saw a lot of play equipment in reception so I think you can borrow these too. My son is 16 so a bit old for that. Perfect for young kids. It was relatively quiet at night. Only sounds we heard were the road. But even this quietened down.

Tidy place for relax!

Golden Valley Caravan Park, it is a nice place for relax. Tidy place, friendly, with everything what you want for camping. Shower, kitchen, bar with life music, entertaining for kids, funny park, hot food. I'll recommend Golden Valley Caravan Park. Thank you!

An average stay made better by beautiful weather

Weather was lovely so made our stay really nice. However, extremely noisy road heard from tent pitch all night. Facilities dated and old including parts of the park. Other parts of it were good. Toilet block got dirty with overflowing bins and dirty floors. Shower block has fabric shower curtains which just scream germs. An average stay. Could really do with a bit of money spending on it and it could be lovely.
