Motorhome - Super Hardstanding Pitches (Large) May 2025 Fantastic location with ready access to walks, a café and pub.
Staff on site really friendly and helpful. Facilities very clean and well equipped.
In summary, a fantastic site with great facilities, ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend.

Lovely site
VW-Type Campervan - Semi Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Medium) Apr 2025 Really lovely site - the pitch was great and the facilities really lovely and clean. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the milk vending machine was really handy.
Would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back.

Well kept site close to the pub and deli
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Semi Serviced Grass Pitches (Medium) Apr 2025 We stayed here in our campervan with 2 young children and another family. They accommodated our request for adjoining pitches. We were impressed with the size of the grass pitches and that a power cable was already set up to connect to.
We liked the fact that it was a short drive to some great locations, Weymouth was only 15 minutes away.
There is a lovely pub and deli/farm shop within a short 5 minute walk too. We liked the onsite vending machines which helped us keep on top of milk without needing a run to the shops.

Perfect stay
Motorhome - Semi Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Medium) Feb 2025 Friendly welcome to a very clean and attractive site. Great dog walking facility on site.
Excellent 24 hour vending machine services including fresh milk and ice cream. Location was fantastic with farm shop and cafe across the road and reasonable pub 5 mins walk away. Walk to nearby Abbotsbury village and then onto the coast was a lovely day out.

Amazing, all year campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Semi Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Medium) Feb 2025 Thank you for such a wonderful stay Portesham.
The campsite is beautiful, everything is clean and well kept. The vending machine is a touch of class and offers everything that you could possibly need. The village is stunning and the local pub could not have been more friendly and welcoming. 20 minutes away from Weymouth. We will return!

Super campsite
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Medium) Sep 2024 Wonderful campsite. Very friendly and helpful reception team. Facilities super clean. Great vending machines for 24 hour snacks, milk, ice-cream and orange juice. Close to pub and farm shop.
Dog-friendly with lovely walks on the doorstep. Ideally located for visiting wonderful Dorset.

Unknown to us, but a real gem
Motorhome - Semi Serviced Grass Pitches (Medium) Sep 2024 So surprised as we arrived! Loads of people there, but still plenty of room. Secure entry/exit, 24/7 vending machines for snacks, coffee, and real milk. Clean facilities with plenty of hot water.

Great, peaceful location
Single Axle Caravan - Super Hardstanding Pitches (Medium) Sep 2024 We had an unplanned stay at Portesham after our booked campsite flooded. They could not have been more accommodating at Portesham, enabling us to pitch before the official arrival time. The site is lovely; well maintained and excellent clean facilities. We loved the dog exercise field, with added rabbits to chase for Ruby!
It's a great location for exploring Dorset, with a pub and farm shop within a five minute walk too!

Amazing site
Single Axle Caravan - Semi Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Medium) Sep 2024 An amazing site with great facilities. The staff were lovely and friendly, we have 3 dogs and they loved the big field to run around in.
There were some great places to visit nearby, we had 10 nights and the weather was been beautiful. It had great onsite vending machines where you can get a lot of different things, the milkshakes were lovely.
A 5 star site which I would visit again.

Will definitely return
Single Axle Caravan - Semi Serviced Grass Pitches (Medium) Aug 2024 This site was really well kept and the facilities were spotless. We arrived just at the end of the summer holidays so there was plenty of space in between the pitches. The showers were really really good (but I do wonder what the queues would be like at peak season).
The walks for the dog were superb direct from the campsite. The farm shop was an added bonus, with delicious home made products. The local pub was also very good. I would highly recommend this site.
The only observation is that it was hard to drag the waste water over the gravel path to the tipping point - so maybe a little concrete path would make it easier for us oldies?

Super site!
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Medium) Aug 2024 Everything about this site was fab. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was brilliant. Close to a shop, pub, café and bus stop to the coast. A series of vending machines supplied milk, butter, cake, eggs and lots more. I'd definitely go again.

Great location, but quite expensive and little to do on-site
Single Axle Caravan - Super Grass Pitches (Large) Aug 2024 The site team work really hard to keep the facilities clean. They had a presence and were friendly and approachable, and you could see their commitment to their work. The location of the site is fab. Really easy to get to many local attractions. The vending machine was a hit.
I think overall value for money was quite low. Although the facilities were clean, there were only a couple of showers and a couple of toilets for a large site. The site was also packed and it felt like everyone was too close together. The site was quite loud at night. The park could also do with some more play equipment. There wasn't very much - a slide and a set of swings. The space could be utilised better for children, in my opinion.

This time of year we are really busy and it may feel that the campsite is full, but we do check that everyone is on the right pitch and pitched up properly. The play park is meant for the smaller children as well as the playing field. There are lots of walks and attractions around Portesham and Abbottsbury for children as well as Weymouth Beach and the Dorset Jurassic Coast. We hope that you will visit us again.

Last minute holiday
Single Axle Caravan - Semi Serviced Grass Pitches (Standard) Aug 2024 We decided on a last minute getaway to celebrate a family 80th birthday (just bought a new caravan). Showers and toilets clean, the whole site was very clean and well maintained.
The only bit I wasn't a fan of was the tight roads, but it couldn't be helped.
Overall was an amazing place to stay and 20 minutes from Weymouth beach/ town centre.

Lovely site
Single Axle Caravan - Semi Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Medium) Aug 2024 Lovely site. Clean and tidy and lovely clean showers/toilets. The showers were nice and hot and temperature controlled so you could have it as hot, or cool, as you wanted.
We had a pitch away from the children's play area and had no noise from kiddies whatsoever. Lots of choice in the vending machines and fab dog walking area. We'd certainly come back again, and we're really fussy about sites we choose.

Great campsite
Medium Tent - Super Grass Pitches (Medium) Jul 2024 The first time camping outside of a festival. This place is great.
It had really good facilities and was generally spotless.
I was very impressed and would definitely come back. This campsite does a great job!
