First timers Recommends site
Medium Tent - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Aug 2026 As a first time camper I was worried about staying at a campsite but it was wonderful
The area was very clean and tidy
The showers and toilets were always clean and the little kitchen room with hot water sinks kettle and washing machine was an added bonus
Great little camping spot Recommends site
Small Tent - Paddock Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2026 Lovely camp site only a short 5 minute walk to the main town. Toilet facilities were clean and well kept and the kitchen area was extremely useful for washing up, making a hot drink or even doing some laundry if needed. Lucy greeted us at the entrance and showed us to our pitch and gave us information about the campsite and the local town which was very helpful. Short drive away from Nailsworth and Stroud. Would definitely book again as a base for exploring the Cotswolds.
Super quiet site Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Aug 2026 Lucy makes you welcome it is a great base for Minchinhampton
Very relaxing break Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Aug 2026 A friendly welcome from Lucy, with all the information we needed. Pitch was large with relaxed set-up direction so we were able to make the most of sun and shade as required. Nice clean facilities, and lovely wooded area for the dogs to wander and toilet (bags provided and bin at the gate). We loved the friendly donkeys! A pleasant walk into Minchinhampton, which is a lovely little town. Henry's Bakehouse cafe was excellent (lovely bacon and avacado rolls and great coffee) We also visited the pub, nice food too. Beautiful church with amazing windows inside and wonderful to have the common so close to give the dogs a run. Everything you require from a campsite and really quiet and peaceful.
Fantastic location Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 A great little campsite, well maintained with a clean and tidy toilet/shower block.
Lucy the owner had put down marquee matting onto our pitch prior to our arrival because there was no grass due to the weather. This was a really nice thought and made our stay very enjoyable. Even the chemical toilet disposal area was equipped with disposable gloves and wipes.
The site is in a great location to visit Stroud with its brewery and surrounding areas.
All in all a great stay. Will definitely be returning.
Fabulous stay! Recommends site
Medium Tent - Paddock Grass Tent Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 On our arrival we were greeted by Lucy who was lovely. She showed us to our pitch and explained all we needed to know including all the facilities on the site and local attractions.
Amazing stay Recommends site
Medium Tent - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 Quiet campsite surrounded by beautiful views. Lucy is an amazing host checking in every day to ensure everyone is happy, spotless facilities couldn't ask for more
Adult only site Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 We were met by, Lucy, the owner, who showed us to our pitch.
Grass slightly sloping with electric. Privacy grass edging around each pitch, which was great. Large fridge freezer for campers use and free washing machine. Great pub in the town but a bit expensive.
Only thing I would mention is the approach to the main camping area is a very scruffy and unkempt field full of very old and battered caravans or motorhomes. I feel this area needs fencing off or tidying up so as not to give such a bad first impression on entering the site.
Other than that, I can't fault the rest of the camping fields.
Tobacconist Farm Recommends site
Motorhome - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 What a lovely quiet site, for adults only. Was a great find, Owner was lovely and very helpful. Beautifully kept site, both the showers and toilets were spotless, would definitely stay there again.

Large Tent - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 We stayed for a long weekend at this beautifully basic but immaculately clean campsite. It is the most perfect solution if you want to feel isolated if you are 'all peopled out'
The other campers were so friendly.
It is so ideally situated for the bus routes & for hiking in the nature.
Little gem Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 Doesn’t look much at the entrance on the way in but lovely little site and Minchinhampton is a little gem

Great twelve nights Recommends site
Large Tent - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 Don’t be put off by the approach to the campsite itself. Site owner Lucy is a real character on her scooter checking guests are happy. Where possible the site makes use of natural vegetation for privacy between the good sized pitches. Shower and washing-up facilities were very clean and there was a complimentary washing machine which came in handy. It is a few minutes walk into the centre of Minchinghampton with a pub and a few useful shops. Already looking at dates for next year as there was plenty more to explore in the area.
Lovely relaxed site Recommends site
Medium Tent - Paddock Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2026 Tobacconist farm campsite is a stones throw from the lovely village of Minchinhampton. The owner is very friendly and the site well maintained. It's a small site so never a queue for the showers and the facilities were always wonderfully clean. The kitchen with fridge, kettle and power points was an added bonus. Definitely recommended.

Medium Tent - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 Perfect 4 nights break
The campsite is one of the nicest we have stayed in & not overcrowded. Each pitch had lots of room, and was nice and flat. The showers were nice, clean and hot. Nice addition of the kitchen space with a fridge, freezer and washing machine. Would definitely recommend this site.
The owner is a lovely lady and couldn't do any more checking to make sure everything was working fine, and stayed for a chat. The local village is only a couple of mins walk with a lovely pub and shop.
Loved our 4 days and will definitely go back. Most people on the site were return visitors, which speaks for itself.
Little gem of a campsite Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 Really nice, little site in a nice, small town. Lucy was a lovely host, very chatty.
Large pitches with a nice outlook. Very chilled atmosphere and quiet. Spacious pitches.
Really impressed with the shower block and the nice little touches, such as bags at dog walk area, use of a BBQ/ fire pit and even gloves at the Elsan disposal point.
Easy walk into town and friendly locals. Would love to stay here again.
Lovely site Recommends site
Motorhome - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 Lovely site. Lucy is welcoming and helpful. Perfect site for dogs. Great location for good walks.
Mother and adult son in separate tents Recommends site
Large Tent - Paddock Grass Tent Pitches with Optional Electric Jul 2026 Lovely site just a short walk from town with a lovely pub, shop and places to eat.
All worth trying as excellent food.
Owner of the site is very friendly and helpful.
I would definitely stay again 😊
Great site next to the pretty village of Minchinhampton Recommends site
Motorhome - Large Grass Pitches with Optional Electric Jun 2026 A great place to stop for cycling the Stroud trailway and canal - provided you don't mind some serious hills! All doable on ebikes.
The site itself provides mostly flat pitches with a pleasant outlook. The facilities are all good and well looked after, although quite a long walk if you are on the top pitches.
Slightly annoying that you were asked not to drive to the Elsan point, which would have meant quite a long carry, so we didn't bother. Even more strange considering other vans had to drive past it to get to their pitches.
Minchinhampton is a delightful village full of traditional mellow stone built houses in the typical Cotswold style. The Crown was great for food and the bakery in the square was excellent.
Site's response
I'm sorry you didn't mention this because I have a farm toilet near the entrance - you'd have been welcome to empty your grey waste in before you left.
