Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2026 Lovely, clean and tidy site near to the Tarka Trail which is ideal for either cycling or walking. Local bus service about 8 min walk from campsite. Very peaceful and quiet. Shower/toilet block in immaculate condition. Highly recommend this site.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2026 Lovely little spot right beside the Tarka trail. Take your bikes and go for miles either way. Clean shower blocks and a friendly brewery on site.
Great campsite on the Tarka Trail
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2026 Great campsite located on the Tarka Trail. The new showers and loos are brilliant and the pitches were very level and spacious. We had an enjoyable evening drink at the onsite microbrewery.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Apr 2026 Fabulous location for the Tarka Trail. Head right to Barnstaple or left to Instow, both an easy bike ride away. Facilities very clean and site peaceful and quiet at night. Well come again, thank you.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Apr 2026 Beautiful location. Exactly what I needed. Toilets and showers very clean. Charging station was very quick. Excellent WIFI. Great access to the trail. Friendly welcome. Quiet site. Easy to find. Couldn’t fault it.

View across the estuary and access to Tarka trail from the gate. Short walk to Instow, ferry across to Appledore.
No need to move your vehicle, plenty of walking and cycling on your doorstep and bus stop not far away. Will definitely return, the staff are very friendly 🙂

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Great location for the Tarka Trail and the facilities were clean. Staff were really nice too. Only downside was that it got a bit noisy from around 4am, which made it hard to get much sleep.
Just what I needed for a break on the trail
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Loved this site. Well suited for backpacking with wooded area away from main marked pitches.
Facilities clean light and airy. Charging station for phones etc a real plus - more sites should do this! But the real highlight was the on site tap room - Lawrence, the brewer, had me belly laughing all night.
Tried to pay for my first beer, his response "you can pay me in hell" 😂 brilliant.
Peaceful site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2025 Easy sight to find. Small basic quiet site. Facilities were immaculate.
Lovely pockets of bench areas for sitting and admire the view with a glass or two. You would need a vehicle to out and get about as the walk to the local shops and beach was a long walk, you would have to be quite fit to walk there. We were parked next to a motorhome which completely blocked our view.
Perhaps putting the smaller campervans and the larger motorhomes separately would avoid this.
Excellent site with spotless facilities
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2025 Lovely quiet site right on the Tarka Trail with excellent facilities which were spotlessly clean.
There is a gate onto the Tarka Trail itself and then it is an easy, roughly an hour, walk into Instow where there are numerous pubs and cafes. We walked back along the coastal path and then rejoined the Tarka Trail back to the campsite.
Excellent site and we would definitely come again.

Amazing place
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 Stayed here for 1 night as a little weekend getaway, and it was perfect.
The location is right next to the tarka trail with its own private gate.
The welcome was warm, the facilities were spotless and we really enjoyed our stay.
All in all a great place and we will be back. Thank you.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Apr 2025 Fantastic campsite, small, friendly, new facilities very well thought out. Access straight on to the Tarka Trail meant walking and cycling with the dog was easy.
The bar also provided entertainment through the eccentric bar man and tasty ale!
