Clear filters Great stay
Large Tent - Small Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 Great site with great facilities. Our first time camping for a few years, and so glad we chose this site. Great location for days out and close to a number of beaches. We all loved the toilet and shower rooms especially the teens! Definitely will come again.

Great little site
Large Tent - Small Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 Had a great stay here. Brilliant toilet/showers, some of the best we have used. Plenty of them, so only had to wait a short while on a few occasions. Pot washing also great with plenty of hot water. Dog friendly with a small area to let them off lead, plenty of local walks on lead, shower and drink station. Strict noise rules, adhered to by all which suited us. Small camp shop for essentials. Location is a bit isolated, but within an hour of most of the best north Norfolk beaches and very close to Sandringham, a walk away for some. Childrens play area wasn't much, only really suitable for toddlers. Could hear the traffic from main road at quiet times, but soon got used to it. All in all a nice little site.

Good stay at a good price
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 Aside from one noisy couple on the second night, this was a good stay at a good price where most other competitors were significantly more expensive.
The showers were well thought through and ideal for families with young children. The pitches were of a good size, albeit tightly packed together and the play park was a great addition.
Accessing services including reception and other facilities was difficult and not aided by a lack of obvious timings. A new heavy-duty freezer is needed for ice blocks. Although not well located to a town, it was nonetheless excellently located to both National Trust and English Heritage sites, and several beaches.

Perfect for families!
Large Tent - Small Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 Great campsite itself was clean and tidy. The cool block freezer could be bigger as we struggled to get even two things in as people were freezing 10+ items at a time. The wasps / ants were a real issue as there were a lot of them.
The showers were only cleaned once a day and to be honest, that wasn't enough but overall we had a great stay even when it rained.
The ground was sand so stayed wet for a very long time and flooded.

Thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay even with the unprecedented weather conditions that we seem to be getting. We haven't had rain since June therefore, the rain we did get when you was with us was tropical like.
I would like to highlight that the private bathrooms are cleaned twice a day- one in the morning approx 10:30am and in the evening at 5pm.
Thank you again and we hope to see again for another stay!

Large Tent - Small Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 Not having much to compare with I was impressed with how well organised and tidy this campsite was! Bathrooms like you would have at home.
Only negative is that we didn't get allocated a pitch next to our friends despite requesting it.

Great site
Single Axle Caravan - Small Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 We have just come back from a 4 night stay here, this is one of the best sites I've stayed on in the last few years. The site was clean well maintained. The staff were helpful. The shower and wash rooms were clean and really nice.

Beautiful, well organised site
Large Tent - Small Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 Beautiful site with clean bathrooms and a great little shop. So much to do in the surrounding area. Great for kids & dogs.
Only down side was the road noise but this does make the site very accessible.

Nice site for couple of nights VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Pine Views) With Picnic Hut Aug 2022 I have mixed views on this site, pitch was great, very spacious and picnic hut was lovely touch, all in one shower room was perfect, ice making machine on site was a first for me on a campsite which was amazing as temps were around 30 degrees everyday, also cheap ice creams from the little shop was a bonus and staff were all very friendly.
Now the 'could be improved' parts. Site could have done with just a toilet block to help the busy queuing morning visits, the Norfolk Nibbles could do with having longer opening times. I'm sure the site would gain money from this as you had to travel to get to any shop, so if opened, we would have definitely used the facility instead of driving to get food.
if you do go to this site be prepared to drive everywhere unless you like a hike, some nice walls but walk to beach was over an hour which sounds okay until you have to remember you have an hour walk back after your beach time.
So over all a nice site. We would come back but not stay as long this time, as not much to do, unless you drive everywhere, which personally we didn't want to do. Maybe next time we'd take bikes as that may be easier, thanks Pinecones for a nice few days away.

Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us, we do have 16 individual facilities on site, one of which is just a toilet for those not wishing to shower. We like to sell price marked items in our shop so our customers know they are not over paying on their items.
Norfolk Nibbles is separate from Pinecones, but the food is fantastic. There is a Co-op 10 minutes walk from the site. We do have a selection of walks from the site and also do bike hire. We do hope you will consider us again in the future. Pinecones Team
Busy road VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Pine Views) With Picnic Hut Aug 2022 It says there's a busy road near by - not kidding. All day and night, there was car noise. They have great toilets with showers and sinks in them, but they need more toilets with just a sink in.
I've never had to queue up to use a toilet at a caravan/camping site in 20 years of camping and caravanning.

Clean and spacious
Large Tent - Small Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 Good location for North Norfolk tourist spots. The road just next to the site proved noisy at times. Clean showers and hot water were welcome after days out.

Great time had by all
Large Tent - Small Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 We stayed here for 5 nights and was great- not a single problem really apart from the shop opening times. Are 9.30-3, so could do with being open slightly earlier and open till later, but other than that it was perfect. I know the fish and chip guys are seprate but it was amazing fish and chips, one of the best I have had and loved they had watering holes for the dogs- is a nice touch.

Excellent campsite- so well run!
Large Tent - Small Electric Grass Pitches (Sandy Acres) Aug 2022 We stayed Pinecones for a week camping in a large pitch with electric hook up. The pitch was perfect, large and flat. The electric hook up very easily accessible.
When we arrived and checked, in the staff were so friendly and so informative. Easy to understand map, free WiFi and laminated sheets for you to explore walks in the local area and QR codes for you to scan to get it on your phone. Great little shop on site for all necessities including electric hook up if you'd forgotten your own, gas canisters for the burners, food, ice cream, cereal, you name it! All at a very reasonable price. The toilets were central to the campsite where the tents and caravans are and another block is situated by the statics and pods. Both blocks were cleaned at least twice a day, always clean. There was a slight drain smell occasionally but understandable with the amount of people using them. Music on in the toilet blocks which I thought was great!
The site is so well run, staff always on hand to help. They had a rule of quiet outside from 8pm and everyone in your tents/caravans being quiet from 11pm. This was monitored strictly with staff on patrol. I thought this was great. Meant we never had any loud people outside after 11pm. We have a 3yr old so it worked well for us. Such a nice chilled atmosphere. Loved it and would definitely recommend.
