VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Campsite was very nice,as I travel a lot during the Summer Months doing open water swimming events.This place was very quiet and peaceful.I got the rest I needed on Sunday after swimming 12 miles on Saturday.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 We loved our stay at Barn Farm and the village of Birchover. Fantastic location with infinite number of walks straight from the site. Staff were polite and helpful whenever called upon.
The only gripe I have is that our pitch was on a slope that even our levelling ramps couldn't cope with!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Apr 2026 A Lovely few nights here, very local to Matlock and Bakewell, we was on field 1 which does have a slant but we was near the bottom. All facilities clean. Only con but didn’t bother us to much is the peacocks are free roaming and like to wake up early but when in country I expect to hear animals, would stay again.
Great campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Apr 2026 Lovely little campsite, great hot showers and well stocked shop. The main field is on a significant slope but it actually worked out fine.
The Red Lion pub was lovely and Rowtor Rocks behind the Druid's Inn is a very cool place to visit and have a scramble. Peacocks very noisy on the mornings, but entertaining.

Very warm welcome from all the staff. Everything was clean and tidy. We didn't use most.of the facilities as we had our own.
Some of the pitches are sloping. Magnificent view over the valley.
Found the location quite central for bakewell, Buxton, matlock etc. I only gave a 4* for location because birchover village is quite tight with the caravan. I would definitely recommend this site and would love to return.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Apr 2026 We had a gorgeous stay at Barn farm. The hosts were so welcoming on our arrival which set the tone for the whole stay. We were very lucky at the start of the camping season to have the whole camping field to choose from. It was peaceful, there's an abundance of facilities and the 3 peacocks are great entertainment. We will definitely be returning.

Kids enjoyed the park. We enjoyed the walks and the local Druid Inn.

Will definitely like to return.

We will definitely return again! :)

The location was beautiful and peaceful, with well-maintained grounds and plenty of space between pitches. The showers and WC were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. And there's 2 pubs within a 5 minute walk.
There were some nice hiking trails nearby, and the campsite was quiet at night, which made for a relaxing trip.
Overall, a great experience, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful outdoor getaway!
