Set in Exmoor National Park with breathtaking sea views, Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is a great choice for anyone looking for a slice of both countryside and coast. There's a large variety of non electric, electric and serviced grass and hardstanding pitches, for both campers and tourers. Or choose one of the glamping pods or geodomes for something a little extra. Pop down to Blacklands Beach for a day on the sand, a lovely getaway for all.

After arriving at the site we had a warm welcome and given some of the amenities on offer. Setting up on our site was a breeze as we had ample room to position our tent how we would like, the pitch was on a slight slope but nothing to drastic. The facilities onsite were clean and of great quality with plenty of space for all. Locally there was the Beggers Roost pub, ideal for those not so pleasant nights or if you fancy a meal and a pint. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating. With plenty of walking routes to nearby Lynton and Lynmouth, you didn't have to go far for a bit of exercise. The site also boasts a couple of exercise plots for walking your pets if you didn't want to go far. Highly recommend staying here as it puts you slap bang in the middle of the coast and the moors.

The park has amazing facilities and the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Having the field where you can let your dog off the lead is excellent as we took our 9-month-old lab who needed lots of exercise. The views are stunning from the campsite. Although there are pathways to walk from the campsite, I personally would have preferred to be closer to the beach as felt we had to drive most places. Overall our trip was enjoyable, even given the weather 😊 and would visit again

We stayed in one of the pods and it was brilliant. The weather this weekend was awful but it didn't matter as we were in the pod. Facilities on the site were the best I have seen at a campsite. I would highly recommend this campsite and will be returning in the future.

Everything perfect. Only one small complaint which was a whiff of sewers. Otherwise great and would stay again.

Location was ok, though windy narrow roads on the site. Quite uneven so needed levelling blocks. Staff were helpful and friendly. Looked like a new toilet/shower block, but needs more attention, i.e. had a lot of rain when there so I wore a coat to the toilet, but no hooks in the cubicle to hang it up. The shower cubicle has a seat and hooks above, but nothing in the shower area for your toiletries. Fixed shower head with only warm water, but it was push button only, which stays on for 10 seconds. Not impressed.

Had a great stay in Lynmouth. It's a well run and nicely set out site with excellent facilities. It's a steep but great walk to the harbour, which has some lovely pubs and restaurants and a brilliant beach for exploring.

More on offer for the pod, as the pod was basic, against the cost. Could do with more coat hooks, a microwave, could add some small shelves rather than 1 large table, even a small sink and maybe some sort of awning/canopy so you're sheltered to sit outside and BBQ. Could really make a difference. The curtain rail was not straight, attention to detail. Staf were fab, really friendly and clean x

The campsite was very well organised. We were greeted with friendly staff at reception which offered fresh baked goods, which we could order for our stay. Each pitch was carefully allocated. The Lotus Belle tent was breathtaking, what a beautiful glamping experience - watching the stars as you drift to sleep in the comfortable bed. The electrical points, fridge and kettle inside the tent were a very welcomed luxury. The toilets and showers were super clean and very well equipped. 5* stay, absolutely no complaints!!!

Loved this park, even if it's a big site. We had amazing views of the sea and the walls are lovely. It's a big park with mobile homes but you wouldn't know as the fields are fairly small so limits how many can park up. Second time camping here. Facilities are very clean and lots of showers and toilets in one block. Just love the location walking into Lynton.

This has to be the best site I've stayed at. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They say dog friendly and they certainly are. There are great dog walks on and off the site and my two fell in love with all the staff. All the facilities are spotless. The grounds are beautifully kept and the site is within walking distance of Lynton and Lynmouth. And, of course, if you don't fancy the climb back up to the site, the dog-friendly taxis are on hand.

The campsite is clean and the facilities are very modern and well lit. Quiet hours are after 10pm, which is generally well respected. During our first night, one group was particularly noisy but management dealt with this well and the second night was much quieter. Gorgeous views of the bay and surrounding fields and valley. Lynton and Lynmouth are within walking distance but adequate footwear if planning to walk. Very friendly, approachable and helpful staff, the welcome pack was helpful too! The only downsides were the pitches were very solid (lots of rocks), so it took a while to get the tent pegs in! Also the showers operate using a push button, so the water flow doesn't last very long.

Lovely weekend spent in Lynmouth. The site is only 7 minutes away from town, where there are plenty of places to eat. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back.
