Excellent Stay

I enjoyed my stay. Beautiful part of the world. Village, close by, with just the right mix of facilities for a rural, getaway. I was impressed with the friendly, very helpful staff. On my stay, many people stopped over, while walking the West Highland Way trail. This was a nice feature of the stay - lots of friendly faces. Loved it

Going to Ben Nevis and Fort Williams

If you look for a campsite in nature near outdoor facilities for a short stay. This is perfect. The facilities are old but clean. The village has a supermarket and two bars. We used it for our walk at Ben Nevis. Most guests walk the West Coast Trail and stay for one night.

Great stay!

This is a very cute and small camp site in a great location. The toilets were clean, the showers hot and the use of a kettle and microwave on a cold morning was life changing!

Was okay...

Generally okay but gave weird vibes, very overpriced for what you get and the men’s shower rooms need changing, there’s no privacy and people could easily take your stuff.

Sorry to learn that a few things didn't seem to meet your expectations during your stay, we are a little unsure what you mean by weird vibes - we generally have great feedback regarding the friendly atmosphere of campers and our team and do strive to offer a welcoming environment for all. Both the male and female showers are communal and as with all communal areas at backpacking campsites there is a show of general trust and honesty amongst all guests, items going missing is never something we have had any cause or issue of concern over here across the years of owning the business. If you felt you had any valuables you did not want to leave, our team would have been happy to hold them in reception for you if this would have helped. We do hope this hasn't deterred you from staying again with us in the future and we thank you for your business.

Comfy and cosy stay

Very enjoyable stay. Toasty, warm pod - very cosy. Facilities really clean. Can't fault it. Would definitely come back 🙂

Fantastic site

Okay campsite

The campsite was nicely located close to major links to Fort William, Glencoe and other important landmarks. However it's not private and the tents are packed, all so close to each other so there isn't any wild or rural camping feeling. The bathrooms were very clean and we took advantage of the dry room as it was a wet time with lots of rain. It offers places for barbecue with tables and benches which was nice.

The team work very hard to ensure a high level of cleanliness, so thank you. The drying room is definitely a bonus on those rainy days! :-) I'm sorry the campsite was busier than you were expecting. There are only two campsites in the village and a high level of campers coming through. We try to fit in everyone comfortably, and not disappoint anyone by turning them away. We're just a walker/hiker's one night stay campsite, rather than a park or resort. Hope it doesn't put you off future visits. Thanks again.
