This landscaped park offers year-round camping and touring options for caravans, motorhomes, and tents, with hardstanding and grass pitches. These measure 6m x 6m, and optional 10 amp electric hookups (metered) are available too. Set on 70 acres of countryside, the site is home to an abundance of activities, from a well-stocked coarse fishing lake teeming with carp, roach, and tench to a scenic nine-hole golf course for both casual putters and avid golfers alike. The clubhouse serves as a welcoming social hub, featuring a cosy bar, restaurant, and a big-screen TV —and there's even more to explore beyond the park's borders. It's an ideal base to explore Dorset and Somerset. The site is just a 15 to 20 minute drive from Shaftesbury and Sherborne, with its abbeys, castles, museums, and a brilliant lake for kayaking (or more fishing). Seasonal pitches are available, too. Dogs are welcome. However, they must be kept on leads at all times. The site is also located next to an airfield, but this is only used by the air ambulance on rare occasions.

A quiet site. We went for the fishing. Could have fantastic potential. Needs updating and upgrading. Toilet showers clean but very old. Clubhouse served lovely beer but again very tired and dated. Fishing lake was ok but again needed some maintenance. Staff lovely and friendly. Convenient and quiet place (apart from the airport, but that did not bother me as light aircraft). If you are ok with no frills approach, would recommend.

A good location in North Dorset, midway between Sherborne and Shaftesbury. Plenty of space on a hard pitch for our motorhome. It overlooked open fields and there was no light pollution. There was a kind and helpful site manager at reception. The hook up was prepaid with a meter card. We stayed over New Year so very quiet which suited us. I feel that the facilities (showers, toilets, dishwashing) would benefit from some updating and might struggle when campsite had full occupancy.

A warm welcome from the hosts at this friendly site, nestled between a golf course and fishing lake. Our electric lead was too short but the team loaned us a longer one without hesitation or charge. Reception is in the bar area which is perfect for an early evening drink and a game of pool. The pitches were a good size and well laid out, and the amount of space available made the site feel spacious, unlike some sites where every square yard is a pitch. It's well situated to break up the long drive to the west country and would recommend as a great overnight stop off.
