Beautiful campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Beautiful campsite set within rolling hills and tall trees.
Plenty of space, freedom to choose where to pitch. Safe for children to play in woods and fields. Clean compostable toilets, clean showers. Fires and BBQs allowed off the ground. Very much enjoyed the views sunshine, peace and back to basics camping.
Great Stay
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We had a great stay at Hook Farm. The site is beautiful, toilets are kept really clean and stocked with a lot of loo roll.
There was good access to water. The staff are really nice and the atmosphere was great.
You are allowed to have fires and the site is dog friendly too. Will definitely be back.

The view was lovely and it was so spacious so we weren't crazy close to anyone, like at other campsites.
The compost toilets were a surprised as I expected smelly and dirty, but they weren't bad at all and we saw they were checked and restocked throughout the day.
We loved the little shop where we could buy fire wood and marshmallows.
Best wild campsite Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Enchanting little village in the heart of Sussex. Amazing lushous green space. Bit hilly, but still lots of flatter areas but we were not bothered by this. Dog friendly. Clean facilities. Portaloos were cleaned twice per day. Check in and check out is easy. Staff are friendly.

Relaxing campsite for couples and families
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Beautiful views and lots of space to choose from. It's quite hilly and sometimes difficult to find a flat spot, but we managed to find one.
Many toilets so you don't have to walk far no matter where you camp. Showers with warm water and clean. They are located by the entrance, so if you camp far down it will be a bit of a walk.
Owners greeted us and thanked for visit which was nice. Nice two pubs in the area - The Cat Inn and Fox in the village nearby.
Friendly owners and beautiful site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Beautiful location, very remote and very quiet. Only a 5 minute walk to the local pub, The Cat, which do the best roast dinner we've ever had.
Owners of the site are incredibly friendly and will help you out should you need it. You can purchase logs and kindling from the site for a campfire. Morning views are stunning over the trees.

A bit hilly in places, so be careful where you pitch, but soft ground and loads of space.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Stayed at Hook Farm for a night over the bank holiday with my partner. Very peaceful and well set up - can't recommend more highly.
Great place to stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Really friendly and a great location to get away with a tent for a night or two.
Wood provided for a fire (for a small fee) and a few toilets dotted about, so you are never far away from one.
We will definitely be back and our 5 year old loved it.

Brilliant campsite!
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 This was our first experience of camping as a family and we had the best time. The campsite was welcoming and we loved that could pitch up anywhere. It was really well suited for our boys (1&3) and we loved being able to have a fire. The showers and compost loos were a great addition and felt very clean. Thanks for a great trip - we will definitely be back!

A proper campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 We loved our stay at Hook Farm Campsite. There aren't any pitches so you have complete freedom to find a spot that suits you. Some of the fields are quite hilly so make sure to take some time finding the perfect spot. The people were really helpful and friendly and the other campers were respectful of the rules and of others. The showers are newly installed, really spacious and a great temperature. We loved that you are allowed to light your own fires as well! The local village is gorgeous with 2 great pubs, I highly recommend The Fox but it is a slightly longer walk from the campsite. We will definitely return!
Great site, great people, great location
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Back to basic campsite. We had a great time there and a fantastic pitch under an oak tree. You will need levellers as it is a bit of a sloping site.
Owners were great. Compost toilets were different and being able to have camp fires was great. Location was great. 10 minute walk to two great pubs. Worth the visit.

Stunning 'wild' camping
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 This is an amazing back to basics camping experience. Huge pitches, with so many different ones to choose from over a large amount of space. The ability to have camp fires really makes the experience.
In a beautiful setting, with a pub ten minutes walk away, another one five minutes after that, and a brewery and tap room another 15 minute walk away. Also very interesting to look around The Priest House, a 15th Century traditional country house in the neighbouring village.
Plenty of water points and compost toilets/portaloos. The showers did run cold the day we were there, which was a shame.
Run by very friendly people, one of whom came to check on everyone in the morning after a storm.
Would return and do recommend.
