Lovely place
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (10-Amp) Aug 2023 Lovely place, ideally situated for exploring the local areas.
You are under the flight path, but that didn't bother us and they're mainly only during the day.
Toilet and shower blocks clean and well serviced. Play area, bar and cafe. All family friendly. Excellent dog walk area with plenty of bins. Cafe/bar was also dog friendly.
A quiet site that's suited to couples or families. We stayed as a couple with a dog. Felt very safe and clean.
The security gate was a bit of a pain getting back in after 7pm, it never recognised our car reg so had to go into the bar for the code to the gate (which changes daily). However this hasn't put us off. We are going to book to go back next year with our children.
Wonderful Watergate
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (10-Amp) Jul 2023 We stayed for 2 nights on what was probably the worst weather weekend of the summer! I phoned ahead to check the conditions at the site and the staff were friendly and reassuring, and even tried to arrange a more sheltered spot on the site for us.
On arrival we were warmly welcomed, and every member of staff I met was helpful and happy. The site was really clean and tidy and had everything we needed. It's a beautiful walk down the coast path to the beach, and only a short drive into Newquay.
Would absolutely recommend and happily come back to this site.
Lovely time
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 My partner and I camped here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. Very clean and tidy site with great facilities, friendly staff and amazing views! Only a 15 minute walk to the beach along the coastal path (great spot to watch the sunset), a 10 minute drive into Newquay town and a 5 minute drive into Mawgan Porth. We’re definitely going to book again for next year :)

Children loved the arcade and the outdoor play area was a big hit.
Shower blocks, toilets and swimming pool area could be cleaned on a more regular basis. Site didn't seem very busy, but these facilities weren't very clean each time we used them.
I don't recall seeing anywhere about it being a cashless site prior to arrival, unless I missed this on their website. But something to note before arriving.
