Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2025 the railway inn country cottages and caravan Park is ideally situated to visit alnwick and amble fishing village both places I would recommend. you could also use it as a base to visit bamburgh and Alnmouth .
alnwick has the lovely castle and gardens whilst the town is full of independent shops,my favourite place being barter books in the old railway staiton in the town.,
amble fishing village has beautiful picturesque quayside which the dog enjoyed walking along. . .the caravan site itself is small quiet and peaceful .a train goes by occasionally, but not through the night and you do not notice.
It has a good sized pitches and a basic clean shower block. and pot wash.for the facilties and time of year it is good value for money.
this is a dog friendly site and although you can't walk the dog on site there is a public highway over the road where I could walk the dog around the fields and through a woodland path ,which he really enjoyed.
the site is very good value for money and with a pub on site what more could you ask for .the owners are pleasant abd welcoming and we will certainly visit again.
A decent little spot. Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2025 Site was clean and tidy, everyone was friendly. The pub doesn’t open Monday and Tuesday I believe & I arrive late on Sunday so didn’t get to try the food, but it looked great! Location pretty remote, so I would have some stuff handy for when you arrive
Small campsite Recommends site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Small campsite. Clean showers and toilets. Pub was closed during our stay Sunday - Tuesday. Nearest shop was amble about a 20 minute drive away. We took our own food so didn’t bother us.no dog walk on site but I did find a nice walk across the road past farmer’s field. We enjoyed our few days and would book again
