Local night away
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2022 We chose this site specifically due it's proximity to our home and the fact that it's attached to a pub, as we wanted a night out with friends in our campers. The site is very informal, with no designated pitches and it was lovely to be able to just choose where we set up. Due to the rural location of this site, it was very quiet at night, with just the odd owl hooting from time to time!
Pub-wise, the food was excellent and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
Would thoroughly recommend this site and pub and it definitely met our needs.

Very nice pub, fine campsite Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2022 We were very happy with The Gate Hangs High as a pub, and stayed for two nights on their campsite. It's certainly OK for a short stay, but as the facilities are quite limited, I would not recommend it for a longer stay. The site is rather close to a road, so don't expect complete silence.
