Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchAug 2025

What a lovely campsite! I almost don’t want to write a review so I can keep it to myself. We had a wonderful evening among the apple trees after dinner at the pub (5 minute walk away). With a footpath in the field next door it’s so easy with dogs to take them out. Loved the ‘snug’ space for less sunny weather. A wonderful wild and natural campsite.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchJul 2025

Very basic campsite. The orchard had sadly been a bit destroyed in a recent storm since almost all trees are bent. The grass was mowed on the footpaths but grown out in between. The lush green field from the pictures was all overgrown. The two toilets are simple outhouses, not connected to water. Both toilets were probably not used for a couple of weeks and therefore full of cobwebs and felt dirty. The location is close to the pub, which is lovely. We are fully self-sufficient, so it was fine. But if you depend on the facilities you will be disappointed. It needs some love and then it could be great.

This was a very relaxed experience in a pretty orchard and beautiful village, with a good local pub and local walks. Facilities are pretty rudimentary, as advertised, and no problem for us, but should it get more popular or busy, I think they'd need to improve. Nonetheless, a great stay for us.

I stayed at Monarch's way in August of 2024. We had an absolutely wonderful stay here, the local facilities were brilliant with a lovely village pub and plenty of footpaths to walk in the evenings. The toilets were perfectly clean. We are already looking forward to staying again in 2025.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchAug 2024

Beautiful, peaceful campsite in the middle of an orchard. We stopped just for the night to break our journey down to Cornwall and it was a perfect location for that. Basic facilities but very clean. We didn't meet the owner but he was very helpful and friendly over messages.

For a back to basics site, this is perfect. Friendly reception, compost toilets and a lovely lovely setting. My only observation would be that the post code takes the driver to a church and the site is further on, but quite concealed. I loved it, kids loved it. Thank you
