Great site

This is a well run and managed site . Very friendly owners who ensured we knew where everything was . I only stopped for one night but will certainly return in the future . Highly recommend this location whether you are stopping over whilst travelling on the M6 or wishing to visit the area .

Lovely to be back again

This is perfect for a stopover or even a few days. We have stayed here twice now and the place is impeccable. Paul (owner) is fabulous and sorts out any problems you have. He visits every camper when they come to his site. See you next time Paul, thanks for a lovely, quiet night xx

Brilliant, as usual.

Great little campsite

Great stopping off point for us on way to Scotland from Worcestershire. Nice facilities. Good location, level pitches. Warden/owner couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. Think we will use this place regularly.

Charming

Beautiful little campsite. Very peaceful and an ideal location for us as a half way stopover before heading to Scotland. Very clean and all amenities were spotless.

Outstanding

This is without doubt one of the best touring sites we have ever stayed on,everything is positive and no negatives to report, the owners are friendly,welcoming and informative, the facilities are second to none and we would have no hesitation in visiting again and recommending. Lovely grounds

Lovely site with lovely staff. Beautifully manicured grass and great pitches. Lovely pub/restaurant just across the road which is a big bonus. I would only have an issue with the cleanliness of the toilets. The showers were clean and each shower was in it's own room, but the toilets did need a more regular and thorough clean. My only complaint about a great site.

Excellent would highly recommend

This site is a perfect base for exploring nearby attractions. The owner Paul, is friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The site is kept in beautiful condition. The toilet and shower facilities are immaculate Would defo come back. Have not seen any children, which for me personally is nice. Lots of dogs though, which again for me is nice.

We get very few children staying with us and from Aug 2025 the youngest age for someone staying with us is 13. From March 2026 onwards we will will be completely adult (age 13+) only. Yes, we are very dog friendly and having the Lancaster Canal towpath by our entrance and a good quality dog friendly pub 200 yards away, our 4 legged friends are very welcome. Paul

Great break away!

Such a lovely site, lovely friendly owner. showers are perfect , feel really clean after visiting the shower block when usually on campsites I feel like I need another shower after having one, sometimes. Great location, straight off the motorway and close to getting about. Would definitely visit again!

We loved the site, it was very quiet and peaceful. The facilities were very clean. The owner was very helpful. Lovely walks for our dogs. Visited the pub which was lovely. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely and well kept site.

The site was really lovely, the facilities too. You couldn’t ask for anymore. The site warden was very friendly and helpful. It was within easy access to the motorway, and to the lakes. The Crooklands hotel served lovely and well presented food, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I can’t praise Little Acre highly enough, we really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend it to everyone. Thank you for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Good location, lovely site

I lovely site in a good location for exploring the Lake District. Perfect size pitch and hook up for our VW T4 with a drive away awning. Excellent toilet, shower and washing up facilities. Would definitely recommended or visit again.

Fantastic location for canal walk with dogs

What a great little camping site located next to the Lancaster canal. Fantastic path that's had a 2 million pound investment. It was a warm day but the dogs were mostly in the dappled light under the trees. Very handy for the Crooklands hotel and the M6 is 2 minutes drive away. Also handy for LPG at the canal garage in Crooklands. My only very small gripe was the shower room floor was completely wet, just making it a balancing act getting dried but this didn't spoil our time here.

I'm sorry that the floor in the shower room was wet and made it difficult for you to keep dry when getting changed. There is a raised mat in the changing area to make sure that there is always a dry area to stand on when getting changed and I'm at a loss as to why it wasn't there whilst you were with us! Paul

Lovely site

Lovely site - you can walk across lane directly onto canal which is great to walk dogs. Good night sleep. Facilities clean. Easy access to motorway or Kendal and The Lakes. Will definitely use again.

Excellent small site

There is a lovely bloke, that came out as soon as we arrived, to guide us to our pitch. lovely heated shower block, pub over the road. Canal walk close by, what more do you need.

Amazing little campsite

Amazing place, lovely quiet place to stop on our travels around the lakes. Owner was super friendly and restrooms were best I've seen at a camping spot. Definitely recommend.

Perfect

Excellent location for travelling on the M6. Situated on canal walk. Friendly, helpful owner. Well maintained and supplies available in the shower/washroom block like shampoo, soap, washing up liquid etc - certainly never experienced this available in other campsites. Excellent all round.

Nice little site

Lovely little site as a stop off on the way home to the midlands. Clean toilets and showers. lovely pub over the road and a nice walk down the canal. Only thing was dog on pitch 4 wasn't on a lead and came running out at my teacup chihuahua when asked the man to put it on a lead he just continued to sit there and ignored me.

Lovely park, will definitely go again. It could do with more toilets and showers on the tent side, but wasn't a problem.
