Clear filters Beautiful, well kept site
Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2023 What a little gem of a site, booked 2 nights. If I hadn't had to go to work on Monday morning, I would have loved to stay longer.
We arrived Friday afternoon and popped our van on our pitch and went and met a very pleasant gentleman who had arrived. He told us about where everything was on site, about dog walks and most importantly, the pub that was 200 yards away.
The site is very well maintained, spotlessly clean with descent sized pitches and water at every pitch.
Only recommendation is that you don't forget your levellers, as our pitch was very sloping, but never spoilt our stay and would happily return next season.

Short stay
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2023 Lovely location but a bit noisy as it is close to a busy road and the M6.
The welcome from the warden was the best I have had so far anywhere, and the facilities are 5 star. Only downside is that there is no motorhome service point to dump our grey waste.
Will still return in the future.

p.s the site is usually very quiet, but at times if the wind is in the wrong direction, we can hear the M6 in the distance.
Quickly accessible campsite

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Campervan Pitch Sep 2023 We booked for 1 night with a campervan and a tent. We could pitch out tent right next to the campervan and had a great stay!
The owners are lovely and the toilets/showers are absolutely amazing!

Hello Jean, thank you for your recent stay at Little Acre.
Unfortunately, you hadn't advised me that you would be arriving late, so the office was closed when you got here. With it being dark when you got here, you maybe missed the EHU and water point that was immediately adjacent to your pitch. When I'm able to meet and greet people, I'm able to point out the closest facility block, which for you would have been a heated shower and loo block with complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer.
Alternatively, I would have been able to point you in the direction of our brand new heated shower, loo, laundry and washing up block - also with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hairdryer and washing detergent.
We also have complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the site and I would have helped you to log on to the Wi-Fi network.
Sadly, with you arriving late and leaving early, I was unable to find out from you what basic amenities that we are lacking. Safe travels, Paul.

A tranquil oasis with pooch-friendly perks near the pub!
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 We recently stayed at Little Acres campsite and had a fantastic experience.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The proximity to a nearby great pub was a pleasant surprise, adding to the convenience and charm of the location. The campsite itself was very quiet and peaceful, offering a serene retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
One of the highlights was the great dog walk in the area, providing ample space for our furry friend to stretch their legs and enjoy the outdoors.
I highly recommend Little Acres for a relaxing camping experience with a delightful touch of friendliness and tranquillity.

Lovely, quiet site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 Well, we stumbled across this gem of a site as the site we were originally staying at was flooded. But my word, what a gorgeous site.
The pitches were well maintained, the facilities are fantastic and the owner is extremely friendly. Lovely restaurant/bar 5 minutes away and Kendal is a stone's throw away.
The only downside was there was no park for the kids. However, this didn't detract from the site and the views. We will certainly be back.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 WOW. Amazing little site. What an absolute gem.
Everything was PERFECT. From the warm welcome from the owner when we arrived and the useful information he provided, to the ease of setup and location of plots. I have to say the toilet blocks are superb!!! Better than most hotel facilities. A real credit to the owners with no expense spared. Has to be our favourite site to date.
Lovely canal walk, close to the pub that has plenty of outdoor seating....perfect to sit in the sunshine with the dogs. The pub itself is dog friendly too.
We will be back, that's for sure. Thank you for helping us recharge ready for another week of work!

Very good and clean site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 The owner is very helpful and the site is very clean and tidy. There are 2 toilet blocks. Across the road is the canal with a footpath and across the bridge is a pub and restaurant. The food is very good.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 Excellent site with a very warm welcome from the owner on arrival. Two shower blocks. One brand new and in perfect condition. The other one is older but very clean! Nice walk along the canal and a good pub about 5 mins walk away. We didn't eat at the pub but called for a drink and we were made to feel very welcome.
Just a very tidy, clean and friendly place to stay. We would definitely return.

Lovely site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2023 A lovely little site with a friendly, helpful owner & very nice facilities. Most of the pitches are not huge, but have room for a caravan with awning and car with others more for a motorhome. All are hardstanding with electric and water connection, some being very sheltered & others more open. Wi-Fi is fine & tv signal adequate.
There are 2 facilities blocks, the older one very nicely appointed with 2 spacious cubicles and a large shower. One nice touch in the ladies was a basket with sanitary products and some toiletries.
The site is just off the A65 but very quiet with virtually no road noise and a nice pub/eatery 200 yards away. The even nearer canal walk looked lovely but was very muddy due to rain, so we didn't bother!
There is easy access to north and south Lakes and highly recommended for a longer stay or night halt - the site is only 3 mins off junction 36 of the M6.

Recommend a walk on the canal but do book a table at pub for food as they get booked up.
