Lovely campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Sep 2025 This was our first time staying here.
Toilets and facilities were clean and well maintained. The people on reception were friendly and really helpful. There's a small shop on site with a good range of essentials available.
The site was lovely and quiet with scenic views and plenty of places to walk and explore. The site is a bit hilly in places but it's to be expected with its location.
Fantastic experience and will definitely return!

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Sep 2025 We had a fantastic stay at Knotlow Farm, facilities were spotless, pitch was spacious and peaceful, view was beautiful. Staff were very helpful and breakfast & firepit prices were very reaonable, easy to find the campsite and is in a grwat location, we will definately be returning!

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Sep 2025 Great camping site with good clean facilities. The pizzas are lovely and value for money. The location was perfect, close to Buxton and Bakewell.
beautiful location with stunning views
Glamping Pod - Glamping Pods with Hot Tubs (Adult Only) Sep 2025 bought the stay away as a gift for our daughter-in-law birthday. she said the location was beautiful and the clamping pod was clean and well stocked with pots and pans etc. the hot tub was an added bonus. the kind lady even left a bottle of plonk (which i had requested and paid for!!!!!).

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 Great location, great ground (well maintained, great soil - pegs went in very nicely lol), friendly staff, and very clean facilities!
Not very many walking routes but great for a chill camp.
Clean separated bathrooms + a family wash room. Vending machine for snacks and hot/cold drinks. Mini shop at reception.
Facilities also has a brochures wall of things to do in the wider area. Fab place!

Lovely owners, very obliging and helpful, immaculate site, ideal base for exploring and walking the beautiful Peaks.
Very clean facilities maintained day and night. The best Stromboli pizza too! Thank you Knotlow Farm.
Pretty and quiet rural campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Adult Only) Aug 2025 Beautiful part of the peaks, gorgeous views and walks. We were a bit unlucky with the weather but still had a lovely and restorative break.
One thing to note, but not deal breakers at all, is that there is a road running through the site, and cars drive fairly fast down it, so next time I will camp further away from that.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Adult Only) Aug 2025 I really don't have a bad thing to say about Knotlow Farm.
We stayed in the first field on the left and it was great. The views were lovely, the other campers respectful and I really like how the owners have a separate field for families with kids. The facilities were spot on with warm showers, plenty of pot washing stations and the whole block was clean. I never had to queue to use any of the facilities.
If I was nit-picking I'd say that the site could use a small toilet block or portaloo closer to the first fields you come too as it was a bit of a walk (5 mins or so) at night.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 Really enjoyed staying at the campsite, good pitch and great location with the walk to Monyash. The team on reception were really helpful. Facilities basic, but clean. Lovely lights at night on the barn. Really nice vibe.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 We loved this peaceful site and the easy access to walks for the dogs. The facilities were very good for the money. We enjoyed a tasty pizza on our first night which was easy to order from reception.
We stayed here as a stop over on our way up to Northumbria and liked it so much that we stopped for a second night on our way back home.
Decent site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Adult Only) Aug 2025 Good site from which to explore the famed parts of the Peaks.
Showers were frustrating - 20p for 2 minutes, the first 30 seconds were freezing cold. Also, facilities were so noisy with squealing children. Dogs not allowed inside so difficult if staying solo. My dog would make less noise and dirt than the children were.

Electric hook up
Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 For the amount of people onsite, I would say it needs a few more washing up areas and toilets.
The only thing I can say that let this site down was the people camping, had to complain due to someone turning up at 9:15pm at night and when the time was 10pm quiet time, they were still slamming doors and using headlights to set up their tent until well after midnight. They owner did have a word in the morning, then it was dogs running round loose, glad to be home now.
It was the campers not giving a hoot about the rules. Such a shame as it would have been a nice, quiet break.
Great short break with young children

Lots of space for them to play and safe for them to learn some independence.

Lovely setting-friendly site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 A lovely site, easily accessible but remote enough to switch off and feel away from the day-to-day. Check-in was easy and staff very pleasant and helpful. Large camping fields sited within close walking proximity to a central wash house and toilet block. The site was quiet despite many tents pitched as the space allows for pitches to remain well spaced.
The kids enjoyed the space and seeing some farm machinery and sheep up close. Bring games, no playpark or specific children centred activities, though the space allows for plenty of running around and hills to roll down!
There is a small shop and vending machine. They also offer breakfast barms and pizza to order for collection at the reception. A great value site, compared with other sites locally. Would return, happy to recommend.

BUT camping at Knotlow has converted me!
Great pitch size, clean toilets and showers, quiet, beautiful, and tasty pizza and breakfast available!
Kids enjoyed seeing the cows in the barn and the sheep on the hills.
100% reccomend!

We were expecting it to be heaving in the summer holidays, but we were pleasantly surprised. Lots of different feilds so campers where spread out and there was loads of space for the children to run around.
Really enjoyed our stay.
