Clear filters Gem of a site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 Lovely little campsite. It was very full due to 'tank fest'. The team there were very helpful, even put my caravan on its pitch and helped me take it off. Helpful and friendly.
Beautiful area. My only complaint the weather was too hot (33 degrees) for us tough northerners, but at least the shop on site had plenty of ice lollies to cool us down.

Amazing site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Amazing little site, well located for Durdle Door, Pool and Bournemouth.
Very clean, easy access and staff very helpful and polite. Stopped by for a chat when passing.
Pub just across the road gives you 10% discount for staying at the site.

Lovely stay
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 This campsite was lovely, very welcoming and in a great place near a local pub, serving lovely food. Also, the train station where you could travel to Weymouth or Poole.

Nice clean site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Good clean site.
The showers/toilets very clean.
15 to 25 minutes drive to other areas like Lulworth Cove and Weymouth etc.
Pub and takeaways nearby too.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Very friendly welcome and assistance on to pitch. Site seemed a little haphazard, but it worked.
Great location with train station a few minutes walk away. Easy to find good walks from site. Facilities spotless. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Fabulous site. Well kept, spotless toilets and showers with lots of hot water. Good location, close to Wool Railway Station with links to Weymouth, Poole and Bournemouth. Lovely walks along the River Frome.
My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi is chargeable. Every other site we've been to, it's been free.

In order to maintain a stable and high-performing connection for our guests, we try to prevent overloading by charging for Wi-Fi. We offer different packages starting from as little as £2.50 per day, to cater for the different needs of our guests.

Amazing

It was in a good location to get to the village and for the attractions in the area.

An excellent site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Sep 2024 The site offered good facilities and a shop that provided the basics. The town of Wool is a few minutes walk and the nearest pub serves excellent food.

A wet weekend at Whitemead
Motorhome - Extra Large Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Even tho' the rain was torrential all weekend and we were unfortunately on a grass pitch, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whitemead.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the the facilities were superbly clean and kept to a very high standard. It was really nice to be greeted at the gate, even tho' it was pouring down and were taken to our pitch (which had mats down for the mud) and to be told all about the campsite and general information about the local transport and amenities.
We will definitely go back again. Many thanks to all of the staff.

Lovely campsite, great location
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Lovely stay at Whitemead Caravan Park for a few days. Great location for Lulworth, Durdle Door, Corfe Castle and Swanage.
Perfectly maintained site, very clean shower block with strong running hot water. Shane and the guys made it a enjoyable holiday. Shame the good weather can't be guaranteed.

Great site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 Campsite was lovely - 5*. Could not get a signal for TV as the weather was quite bad, not being able to sit out. Thank god for DVD loans 😊
Bus stop is just up the road and train station, was so easy to visit places with these services if you don't want to drive.

Beautiful site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Very nice site, extremely clean and the staff are very friendly. I read some reviews saying the railway was noisy, after a while you don't even notice it, so don't let that put you off.
The site is extremely well kept. The only downside for me was being parked on the wrong side for the morning sun to dry the awning, the 10:30 check out would have meant putting it away wet, so I left the previous afternoon forgoing my last paid for night.

Review Whitemead Caravan Site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 Ideally situated easy access. Very good value for money compared to some sites. Cleanliness is excellent, facilities seem to be attended to three or four times a day. Wi-Fi download could be faster. Stayed 7 nights, no problems whatsoever, would recommend site.

Lovely campsite
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 We very much enjoyed our stay, we were expecting it to be quiet as seen in previous reviews but as we were by entrance this was not the case. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities immaculately clean and well maintained.
We enjoyed seeing the tanks go past regularly in the evenings. A great location.
Pub over the road great food with a discount of 10% if you are from campsite. Great chippy up the road. We will return.

Great stay
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 I found such a fantastic caravan site here, I can't praise it enough. From the first contact on the phone, I was met with friendliness.
All the staff were helpful, kind and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A lovely site surrounded by fields, was peaceful and and a perfect setting.
I really recommend this caravan site! I plan to return. Thank you to all the staff, you're amazing! X

Handy for tank museum events
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 A warm welcome & very clean site, excellent local facilities. Nearest pub restaurant just 5min walk, across the railway line using the foot bridge
Busy rail traffic but did not disturb the tranquillity of the site. All pitches well serviced & spacious.

Very welcoming and lots on the doorstep
Motorhome - Extra Large Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 It's a mix of seasonal and tourist pitches, some with great views, others with plenty of space.
There's a lovely dog walk by the river, and a dog-friendly pub and shops a few minutes walk away. Looking forward to the next time.😀

Mini break in a very convenient location
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Arrival was easy as the site was will situated and well sign posted. Check in was easy and I was walked to my pitch and given all the info I needed.
The facilities were very clean and the shop, although small, was well stocked and the staff were very friendly.
The clean ablution block was well maintained and had nice, hot showers.
The location was spot on and within short walking distance to three pubs, a couple of shops, a very nice bakery (which I would highly recommend) and even a Chinese takeaway. The train station and bus stop are only 5 minutes away. I would suggest walking along the river to get into Wool as there are some nice views and much nicer than taking the simple path route.
Overall, a very pleasant stay in a very clean and tidy site with friendly and helpful staff.
I would recommend this site and I would most definitely return.

A lovely site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 What a lovely find. A peaceful setting, conveniently located by Wool station and The Ship Inn. Spotless lavatories and showers. A fabulous meadow next to the river Frome to walk the dog yards from the site.

Excellent campsite
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 An excellent campsite in a peaceful location. Excellent access to Poole and surrounding areas.
We caught the train which was just a 5 minutes walk to the station. The facilities were all good and the site was very well kept, all staff were friendly and helpful. There was a nice local pub nearby again 5 minutes walk with a nice selection of food and they give discounts if you mention that you are staying at the campsite.
I can only mention one downside that there was no free Wi-Fi but that was not too much of an issue. We will definitely be visiting again.
Thank you to all the staff who made our stay welcoming and took the time to make sure we bed easy access to parking and removing waste on the way out.

Lovely Little Site
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 Visited for 2 nights, found staff extremely inviting and helpful, communal facilities spotless and really well maintained.
Great location to train and bus station for those who don’t want to take their motorhome out for the day.
