Great day

It was a really nice place, not too far from anything at all and yet it seemed I was out in the middle of nowhere, it was great. Also, the bloke was super friendly and great help too, thanks 🙏

One night stay

Had a lovely stay here. The welcome was very pleasant and friendly. The showers were hot and toilets clean. The laundry facilities were also very good. The site was very relaxed. Well done!

Great space, with a great host and clean facilities.

Booked two non-electric pitches for a one night stay with some friends. Lovely and quiet space, with great facilities. The host, Paul, was super friendly and provided a great service. Definitely recommend!

We had a really lovely stay. The staff are lovely and so friendly. The facilities are really clean and well maintained. We had a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. Definitely recommend and we will return.

Amazing campsite

Would highly recommend!

My partner, daughter and I camped here the night before climbing Snowdon. We were really pleased with the whole experience. The site is in a beautiful area and well maintained. Facilities were really clean. Communication was really good with the site as well, I emailed with a query and got a response the same day. Would definitely go back!

Lovely, quiet site

Pitches were spacious and the site was really quiet. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of cows, sheep and horses! The showers were really warm and toilets were clean. Was a perfect location for our walk up Snowdon!

Fun and great stay

Overall the campsite is ideal for family or groups. The staff were polite and helpful. The facilities are clean. It is just few minutes away from train station for those planning to climb Snowdon. The facilities are basic, but could do with additional shower rooms where there could be mirror and sink in it.

Lovely picturesque site, decent spacing between tents, shower block/toilets nice and clean. Convenient location to explore Snowdonia. Would recommend.

Peaceful, family friendly site

The site and facilities were clean, tidy and in really good condition. The tent pitches are very generous with lots of room for kids to play in the middle. There are two small play areas as well. It's an ideal location for North Wales and Anglesey. You can easily get to Caernarfon, Bangor and Llanberis/Snowdon each within 15/20 mins. The back drop is stunning and the people were very welcoming. I really can't recommend campsite enough, we will be returning next year.

Great

Great site, clean, good facilities. Good base for exploring the area but nothing really within short walking distance, shop, pub etc. We were on a quiet pitch away from most people and slept really well.

Amazing

We have had such an amazing week here camping at Tros y Waen. We don't want to leave ☹️ the site has exceeded all our expectations and it is truly the most peaceful place. The owners are so kind and friendly. We contacted in advance about bringing a gazebo and they said this was no problem - they have been extremely accommodating with any query. The grounds are maintained to a extremely high standard, the facilities are very clean and well thought out and the pitches are all well spaced. You have thought of it all and we would certainly love to come back! Thank you so much 😊 We will miss our peaceful camp surrounded by the mountains.

Really enjoyed staying at this campsite, the owner was very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were very clean with not too far to walk from where we'd pitched. The site itself was close to all the areas we wanted to visit with it also being only a short drive to Anglesey. Excellent

Really lovely campsite

Really lovely site, nice and spacious, and well maintained. Facilities were really clean. It's a great location, nice and quiet with plenty of space for the kids to play whilst being close to the beach, Snowdon and other things to do. The guys that run the site are really friendly and helpful too. Would definitely recommend!

Great site

Lovely site. The whole place, both on approach and when driving though, felt clean, modern and really well maintained. There was an attentive and friendly host who checked us in with clear instructions and sorted us a fire pit. We stayed in the tent field and even though all pitches were taken, it didn't feel crowded and still had loads of room for ball games. The showers/bathrooms were clean and new.

Great campsite in Snowdonia

Excellent site with a personal greeting, and being taken to the pitch. Toilets and shower block clean. Pitched by a stream, behind which was a kids playground.

Brilliant campsite

We recently visited for 3 nights and the campsite was wonderful. The owners are lovely and keep the site well maintained. Such a peaceful campsite with beautiful views of Wales. Will definitely be back!

Very well kept site

Everything was great. Easy to book and good communication afterwards. Friendly greeting on arrival. Pitches marked out well, with enough space between them. Shower, toilet and utility facilities were clean and well kept. The whole site looked neat and tidy. Lovely little stream at the back of it with a hidden wooden play area. Would definitely book again.

A great family friendly site

An amazing site, very clean and family friendly. It's a quiet site and is well maintained with all necessary facilities. Everything is always clean and tidy. The views from our tent were outstanding, I was able to watch the sunrise over the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is perfect, with so many things to do in the surrounding area that we didn't get to do everything we wanted. We will definitely be using this site again.
