Very peaceful site. Very well maintained, fabulous views and the pitches are huge. The alpaca and goats are friendly, my two dogs were mesmerised and wondering what they were kept them quiet all day, which was a godsend. Very nice site we will definitely be going back.
Highly recommend

Booked a last minute stop over on the way home from Scotland to Wales. The site itself is spotless with good clear directions on how to get onto it, toilets and showers were clean and tidy. We had one shower and one loo for the area we choose. The value for money rating was low as I booked the site with an understanding the electricity was in the price, it's not. You have to pay £1 per? as you use it, we chose not to hook up so I cured no extra cost but at £28 per night I thought it was a little excessive. I had options of cheaper sites without electricity but chose this one as previously mentioned I assumed it was included but hey ho. As I say the site is spotless, if you like a good instructional sign then this is the place to be, they are everywhere. The site seemed a bit impersonal, it would have been nice to say hi to the owners but that's my own personal choice of how a campsite should be run.. absolutely nothing wrong with this site, just maybe not how I'd run it..

Hi Simon, thank you for your review. My advert does state …..'hardstanding pitches with 10-Amp electric, water tap, waste drain and great views. Electric is metered and payable on site. Suitable for roof tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. There are 4 toilets and 3 showers on my site.' I'm not really a big site, I would love to spend time chatting to guests on site but unfortunately I'm running it on my own as well as the farm and the glamping site so a bit busy lol, the signs are simply to help guests find the facilities and their way around the site, Nick

Our second visit and as enjoyable as the first. Pitches very good and views unbeatable. Sunsets lovely and the goats really friendly. Must be one of the best CL's in the system.

Absolutely fantastic. The views, the location for Jodrell Bank telescope, the farm walk, proximity to the Red Lion - we quite simply had a wonderful time and expect to return. This was a stop off between Cardiff and the Lake District!

A very relaxing and restful site. The long and short walks were great for me as I have a bad back. They were level, well tended and a pleasure to walk. The site was quiet and peaceful for a working farm and we really enjoyed just chilling out for a week in beautiful country surroundings.

The location would not suit all people, being in a farmland setting, but we are the sorts to go out exploring widely so it served as a useful base. The lack of an on-site shop for basic supplies might put some people off, but there's plenty of choice in nearby Holmes Chapel. Since our visit two years ago, there have been two nice additional touches: firstly a luggage cart to help transfer bags etc from the car park to the pond. Secondly, an air fryer to boost cooking capabilities (there's a hob and microwave too). Not sure what happened about the bread knife we suggested would be handy two years ago! The pod has more than adequate heating, for any chilly nights and mornings and a great view over the countryside. The more than ample mown dog walk paths around the cropped field headlands kept our dog more than busy.

Lovely, clean, quiet site (once you get used to being on a flight path). We will definitely use Welltrough again and would recommend to others. Was a treat to see llamas on site.

Very peaceful and stunning views. The site has tranquil vibe about it, with basic amenities with a unique touch. We had a email before arriving explaining gates codes, how to get change for the electric meter, which takes card and notes for the pound coins needed. Also, what pitches are available. Pitches are gravel with water tap next to the pitches. Dog washes are also available. The pitches are not level, so make sure you have stack pads for caravan. There are also some tree stumps dotted around to help get level. The alpacas and goats are entertaining, and can been seen from most pitches. We stayed for 1 night and use £3.80 for electric which was I felt was cheap for normal usage. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. If Nick the owner ever got Hot Tub only pitches, I'm sure this would be a sell out too. 10/10 from us

Well maintained with glorious views and a fantastic pub just a short walk away through the fields! Excellent stay here. I definitely would return. Perfect views and walks. The only minor reservation I have personally is that the WCs are shared. I would prefer a female only toilet/facility.

Quality hard standing pitches, fully serviced with a small heated toilet and shower facilities. An easy signposted walk along the grass footpath through the fields to a local pub, which serves excellent food. Jodrell Bank is about two miles away and several small towns have everything you need for a convenient stay.
