Clear filters Very nice stay
Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 We really enjoyed our stay at Skirlington. The facilities like the swimming pool, Wonky Donkey bar etc were very good. The staff were amazing. Very good entertainment for children (we had our 4 year old grandson with us). He had a whale of a time!
There is also a very good onsite gym and handy shop. Fish and chip shop too.
The only grip we had was the toilet/ shower block near the touring section. It is very outdated and not very appealing. Could do with an upgrade.
Would have been nice to know there is no beach access as we went to the coast to take grandson to beach. This maybe needs adding to the information about the site.
Overall, a brilliant week
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 This site was an excellent choice with an 8 year old. The swimming pool was amazing and the timed sessions were an excellent idea.
Our grass touring pitch on Cherry Field was very good but our only complaint was the poor standard in the top toilet block. There was no water available to flush out the toilet cassette in the cassette disposal area, unlike the block on Birch Field.
Large site, great facilities and location
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2025 The new pub, Wonky Donkey was great for food. Dogs allowed in certain area also. Swimming pool area with steam room sauna and jacuzzi was awesome.
The shop onsite was well stocked and the arcade was great fun, even for us as a mature couple. The fish and chip shop food was well priced and delicious also. Lots of shower/toilet blocks, very clean but dated. However, I believe the site is undergoing an upgrade as a new company has taken it over very recently. This was a great price for the pitch. Aerial didn't work and we didn't use the water, just the electric on the fully serviced pitch.
The site was quiet Monday to Friday dinner then became extremely busy, kids on e-scooters bombing around and people just walking around the motorhome, even looking through the windows. We left at that point rather than staying until Saturday morning.
So only niggle was the behaviour of other campers really, the site itself fantastic. Have a dog field to.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2025 Had a great week, weather helped. I have 2 criticisms.
Is there is no place to get rid of grey waste? I was told at reception to put it in the Elsan point, which was difficult as you had to lift the grey waste up into unit. Really needs to be at floor level when you're carrying something so full.
The guys cutting grass and emptying the bins come round very early. One morning it was so noisy. Otherwise, the facilities etc are good for families.
Good value for money VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2025 Location was suitable, could drive either way to reach Hornsea or Skipsea.
The site it's self is really good value for money, use of facilities was included in price. Very clean facilities, staff was lovely and helpful.
Only downfalls was touring you was literally side by side to the next family, can't walk to the beach as it's corroded away so it's been cordoned off.
