Really great campsite

Really good value for money. Plenty of room in the fields and all campers were spread around as it wasn’t overly busy. Great facilities that were always clean. There was somewhere to wash dishes with hot water, and they even provided a freezer for ice packs. Everything seemed really well thought out. The people were also really nice, friendly and responsive. You will likely need to drive to get about, although we did walk to a near by beach which only took an hour. Would definitely stay again :)

Great budget campsite

my second visit to this campsite. near to the coast and welcoming. site is mostly a grass field and modular facilities. what really makes the difference is the care and attention lavished on site, grass regularly cut, toilets and showers always clean. hot water instantly at the taps and showers. washing up area and freezer for ice packs available. nothing to criticise apart from. a couple of pot holes near the entrance.

One of the best campsites we've stayed at in Cornwall

Absolutely amazing campsite. Everything was brilliant here. We have stayed here most years since The Old Stables opened about 5 years ago. The site was good when it first opened but has been improved by the family owners every year. Definitely stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Good value

Lovely stay, quiet. Only downside is the walk down to village.

One night in a camper

We love this site, its quiet, clean, easily accessed and just a short distance to beaches and Hayle town. Relaxed feel, owners very pleasant and helpful. Ground firm enough to support camer on grass.

Great site, great location

Lovley site just a short drive from Hayle beach, the pitches where a decent size and the on site amenities where great, with very clean toilets and showers.

Really enjoyed our stay

Great campsite with everything you need and at a good price! Friendly hosts who gave us maps of Cornwall on arrival and explained everything onsite. The site is very clean and well maintained, with toilets, showers, and a washing up room. There was also a little food van that served breakfast and coffee which was very handy. The beach is a bit of a walk but the bus stops outside the camp. There is a pub called the turnpike inn that is closer to walk to down the lanes and the food is very good. We would definitely stay again.

May bank holiday break

We absolutely love it here, it's the 2nd time we visited and will definitely be back. It's so quiet and not cramped in like a lot of places, "loads of space for kids to play" as my 6 year old daughter says. The toilets and showers are individual rather than cubicles which is a major bonus, and kept very clean. The couple who run the site are lovely, friendly and helpful. Very reasonable which is getting rarer with sites. Looking forward to more trips in the summer holidays. Thank you for another lovely break.

Lovely site

Fantastic campsite with clean warm showers and ample toilets. All were regularly cleaned and a big washing up area. The campsite owners have a breakfast van which served fresh food, we had breakfast baps and hot drinks which were delicious. They also sell homemade cakes. There are bricks for BBQs and fire pits available. Top tip: bring a bike, the beach is quite far to walk to and it's on a fast road, with some young boys with expensive toys, so didn't feel that safe walking. However, we did find a footpath for most of it. Campsite was quiet with a big area for families to play swing ball and games.

Wir waren schon zum 2.mal hier und kommen wieder. Wir lieben es . Für uns ist es ein Gefühl wie nach Hause kommen. Mike und Jane sind super lieb und immer sehr hilfsbereit. Es ist ein sehr schöner Campingplatz unser Hund durfte mit . Es ist nicht weit zum Strand

Back to nature

There's nothing I have to complain about. It was clean and quiet. Flat ground, well looked after and Mike and Jayne were so helpful and friendly. Other campers were respectful and quiet too. The little food truck served nice coffee and arrangement of breakfast baps at reasonable prices.

A friendly, family run campsite

We were happy to stay there for four days, visiting St. Ives by bus and going to the beach by bicycle. Very friendly couple running the site, delicious homebaked cake and very spacious pitches (10m). The only problem was to walk our dog outside the camp, because you have to use the street.

A most welcome stay

Start to finish was highly enjoyable. A smooth and friendly arrival. The pod was exactly as described and in wonderful condition. The facilities couldn't have been cleaner. Lovely and quiet site. Just thinking about when to return.

Great spot.

Great stay, great facilities. I've been looking for local great spots and found one! Toilets are very clean, walk (yes really a 15min walk) into town for a beer and very close to a massive beach. Have already reccomended the site to friends.

Would recommend to anyone

Really nice and welcoming, you get good amount of space. First time camping and Mike and Jane were really helpful with everything, even putting up the tent 🤣. Really nice environment not far from beach whatsoever.

Lovely stay

We have just had a lovely stay for 3 nights with our 2 children and dog. The facilities were so clean and the owners were always on hand to help if needed. Just down the road from Gwithian beach. Had a lovely taco food cart that came on a Wednesday evening and another food truck on different days. Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to be back soon.

A great place for family camping

Very welcoming and accommodating owners. Had a great time, location was perfect with links to the major routes within a couple miles. Supermarkets close by. The range of local beaches for lifeguard patrolled safe swimming areas were also great or just relaxing watching the surf. It was always nice to return to camp for a nice hot shower and to see what was on offer at the hot food stall that evening if I didn't want to cook. We definitely plan on returning next year. Wish we had stayed for longer

Incredibly clean facilities, super helpful office team, we had an absolutely gorgeous stay here. We were positioned by the entrance but that wasn't an issue, most people drove in slowly and adhered to the noise curfews. If you don't have a car there's a nice walk to the beach and you can get the bus from outside the campsite now straight into St ives which is excellent! We would absolutely consider coming back.

Mike and Lyndsey work so hard to keep on top of the cleaning, which can be a challenge when we are so busy, but it pays dividends with the comments we get back from guests like yourself.
