Great spot

Just off the M6 makes this an ideal stopoff. We got a very friendly and informative welcome and it’s right beside the Lancaster canal so great walks on your doorstep. The facilities were amazing and spotless with a great hairdryer which is rare on sites. There’s a great dog friendly pub very close but do book as it’s very popular and the food is great. There was a faint hum of traffic from the motorway but not enough to disturb us and you need 20p for the shower but otherwise the perfect stop. Will definitely return

Excellent site

Easy access from motorway, good clean facilities with excellent hosts . Great walks along tow path topped with a pub nearby for food and drink 🙂

It’s fantastic

In the 40 plus years of camping I have never stayed on a site like this. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Absolutely faultless in every way. We will return here as the location is central to so Many places to explore. The site itself is like visiting a spa! Thank you Little Arce

LITTLE ACRE WITH BIG ATTITUDE

We stayed for 2 nights as we where trying out our new motorhome, on arrival you just park up into the pitch number you was given, and then go to site office where you will greeted very friendly by the owner, he makes you feel so welcome and warm and gives you a lot of info of the surrounding area, he recommends the pub, the crooklands witch is just at the top of the road, again the food and service is 10/10 its the nicest food we have had from a pub in over 15 years, the toilets and showers are spotless and you can use both blocks we will be returning to this site excellent location and very helpful owners and even other caravaners and motorhomes owners, thank you

Lovely site

Very clean and modern site with a warm welcome from the host. Nice walks by canal immediately from the site. Only improvement would be to scrap the 20p charge for showers. Most sites now have showers included in booking price and fewer people carry cash or change these days. Although host did offer change to be fair.

Perfect for a quiet break

First time visiting this park and we found it to be a lovely site,Paul and Sarah were very pleasant and helpful and the facilities were modern and spotless, great food just a 5 minute walk away at the Crooklands hotel and great walks at the canal for our wee dog, again just 2 minutes from the site. We will definitely be paying this site another visit, 5 stars from us.

Stopover night

Went to little acre campsite for one night only tbh I coulda stayed longer very pleasant clean and quiet site one of the wardens even booked us a table at a restaurant close by will definitely be going back for a longer break so relaxing👍😀

Excellent site

Another stay at this immaculate site. Just one night this time to celebrate our wedding anniversary with a meal at Crooklands. As always the facilities were pristine.. Paul and Sarah keep everything spic and span! Hope to return for a longer stay soon!

Fabulous site

Fabulous site. Everything you could ask for and spotlessly clean. Not far off the M6 so perfect if you are looking to break up your journey. We stayed an extra night which wasn't a problem, Paul was very helpful when on our first night we were held up for 6 hours because of a major accident on the M6. Showers and toilets are spacious. You pay 20p for 3 minutes in the shower. There are also facilities to wash and tumble dry your clothes. The cost for the washing machine is £3 per wash and the same for the tumble dryer. If you are doing heavy items like towels you will need to split them into 2 loads for washing and drying which can work out a bit expensive, but all in all I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Peaceful & convenient location.

Adult only, dog friendly. level pitch. facilities excellent. Paul & Sarah excellent hosts. Good walks along Lancaster canal Hotel with serving good food across the road. Easy distance to the Southern lakes. Would recommend and will rebook if we are looking to visit the area again.

Excellent

Paul & Sarah work exceptionally hard to keep a well maintained, clean site. The shower and toilet facilities are immaculate with all little extras. The grass and the pitches are very well maintained and very tidy. The location has a very good pub /hotel less than a 5 minute walk. The site is adults only which suits us perfectly. This is our second visit and we will definitely be back. I would highly recommend this site.

Paul is a very friendly guy who with the aid of his staff run an excellent site, very clean and tidy all round, great location to the m6 and well worth an overnight stay wether travelling north or south, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site 👍

First time at campervanning!

We booked 2 nights at Little Acres, what a lovely little spot! It was our first time using our camper van so we stayed the weekend - just what we needed with our little dog. We enjoyed the adventure - so relaxing helped by the weather :)

Fabulous little site

We've used the site as a one night stopover due to its proximity to the M6 but it is worth a stay for so many more reasons. Aside from the first class, well kept facilities, the site is on a bus route to Kendal or Kirkby Stephen - which is fabulous for motorhome users. There are great walks along the canal and the Crooklands Hotel does fabulous food and a great place for a drink or a coffee. There are too many positives to mention.

Ideal short break

Downgraded the location because of the proximity of the A65, busy road making crossing difficult (ish) if you visit the Crooklands Hotel or use the bus to get to & from Kendal. Apart from that, very minor downside, we couldn't fault this site, everything is perfect.

Lovely relaxed adult only site.

There's a totally relaxed vibe on this lovely little site. Great views all round. The facilities are clean and modern. The 20p for 3 minutes actually works really well because it is plenty of time to have a good shower. It free's them up so others don't have to wait too long. My pitch number was emailed to me so there was no need to have to check in. The owners were just there in the background if you needed any local knowledge. Pitches are mostly fairly level, some are slightly out but they even provided ramps for them. The canal walk next to the site is nice. There's a hotel over the road with nice food all day and beer garden. Plus shop at garage nearby.

Great stay!

The campsite was super easy to find and is located very conveniently. The owner is super nice and very welcoming and I loved how dog-friendly the place is. There are great walks along the channel which is located directly next to the site. The facilities were also spotless throughout my stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Couldn't fault it. Site was well looked after and the warden was very welcoming and helpful. Only thing to note is that whilst the proximity to the motorway makes it easy to get to, the noise can be intrusive if/when the wind is in a certain direction.

What a great place to finish our holiday! Highly Recommended

We chose Little Acre as a stop off on our way back to London from Scotland and it was a great choice! We were met like old friends and shown to our pitch and all the facilities, where the local amenities were including walks and pubs to visit. The facilities were by far the best we experienced of the 10 sites we stayed at during our holiday. The toilets, showers and laundry facilities were hotel standard, absolutely immaculate! A beautiful little park to stay at - quiet, friendly and spotless! Impossible to fault in any way. We will be back without a doubt! Thank you :)

Great hosts super location

Duper site just minutes away from Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale .Bus stop very close to site. Our hosts even printed timetabke for us Free levellers available on all pitches.( As sloping pitches) Extra long hose on tap to enable us to fill up on our pitch. Recommend it
