Fabulous time
Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) Aug 2026 Everything was great, couldn’t ask for more from a campsite.
Real likes the addition of food trucks at the campsite as well.
The evening live band made the stay even more enjoyable, such a lovely atmosphere and a really nice vibe, kids had a blast. And felt comfortable to boo away till the end

Facilities were great and the cleanliness was superb.
Site felt safe for children.
Entertainment was great and despite the weather, the indoor hosting option meant a great night was had.
Curfew was well managed politely but firmly.
We’ll be back for sure.
Fantastic campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Aug 2026 A great site in the Derbyshire hills, great facilities, clean, quiet and a nice little shop. Two great pubs a few minutes walk away, with great food and beer! The nine ladies stone circle is a great place to visit, with access available from the campsite. Love this place and can’t recommend it enough

We were also surprised that the was a band booked!! Excellent environment. 100% recommended!!

Great stay
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Aug 2026 Great few nights at Barn Farm as always! Amenities were spotless and even though short staffed, the shop could be opened and staff attentive. Despite the storm, we had a great few days.
Peacocks came to visit us and shared a (little) snack from our hands, and they kept us entertained. Great play area for the kids, in view of our tent so we felt safe to let them be free in their wellies making new friends.

We had a fantastic stay at Barn Farm Campsite and would highly recommend it, especially for families. The grounds are very well maintained, the facilities were clean and easy to use, and the location was excellent with lots of lovely walks right on the doorstep.
This was our first time camping as a family, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The whole family really enjoyed the experience and we’d definitely come back again!

Fantastic family campsite
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Aug 2026 This was our fourth year at Barn Farm - we keep coming back because it’s perfect for our group of three friends and their families. Kids (under 9s) all have a brilliant time every summer, playing in the playground and in the family field. Showers and washing up facilities are top notch, plus an on-site shop to pick up anything ever forgotten. The breakfast butty van wasn’t open the weekend we stayed this year, which was much missed, but 5/5 all the same.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 What a gorgeous site in a gorgeous village in a gorgeous county.
Getting there can be a bit tricky going up narrow roads and meeting oncoming traffic.
The village itself is lovely with sandstone traditional houses and two great pubs within walking distance of the caravan site. It was good value for money with water and electrical on our pitch.
The big gripe, which no one can do anything about, is how much of a slope and incline our pitch had. This site definitely needs ramps and blocks and next time we will park our caravan sideways.
The Red Lion pub in the village does a fantastic Sunday lunch and brews its own real ales. All in all we will definitely be back come up, a great weekend was hard by all.

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Aug 2026 This campsite really does have it all!
It's in a great location with beautiful views, has plenty of practical facilities (covered and indoor washing-up area, drying area, a small shop, laundry, toilets and showers - all immaculately clean!) and also lots of fun things too (playground, beautiful walks nearby, games room).
We were given a warm welcome when we arrived and the service was generally excellent the entire time.
My only teeny tiny niggle is that we arrived when the field was fully booked (not a surprise, it was mid-August!) and we struggled to find a spot on the field that wasn't very steeply sloping (all the flat spots had been taken). We eventually found the best available place, but we still slid to the bottom of our beds at nighttime. However, we were warned about this in the booking process, so it's not a major problem. Those with a very large tent might struggle though.

Great family friendly site
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Aug 2026 The family field was great for our two nights stay - the kids had fun playing together, with adults joining in too. Good facilities and never any queues for toilets or showers. Nice pubs within walking distance and a pop up pizza oven on the Friday night meant we didn't need to pack our BBQ.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 We stayed on a hardstanding pitch with several other camper vans. There were literally a hundred tents which were informally pitched and looked great fun if you were camping with larger groups

Picturesque, friendly and helpful

Excellent facilities, lovely location and very helpful staff. Had a difficult night one due to an Owner's Club group being particularly noisy next to our pitch, but the campsite owners sorted this out immediately for us the next day and they were much more respectful of the quiet time curfew.
