Lovely location Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2023 Very happy with our stay, old fashioned facilities but everything worked perfectly and it was mopped daily! Lovely location!
Pleasant retreat
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2023 Last minute decision to have a couple of days in the Lake District. Just 4 miles from Cockermouth but far enough to be out of the way! Andrew, our host, was a pleasant and friendly chap. He was not obtrusive and left you alone but was only a phone call away if any help or advice was needed.
Practical farm site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2023 Practical, decent facilities. We didn't stay long as we used it for a quick stop over so late night, early start.
Couldn't get hold of the staff on site when we arrived so we just pitched ourselves.

Reasonably priced, reasonably simple campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 The camping was good value for money. Facilities are rather basic but the campsite description is honest about this. Grass pitches are nice. The host was quite helpful and on site most of the time.
Great small campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 I had selected this campsite because its in quieter area. The campsite had good facilities like a hot shower, hair dryer, freezer, place for washing up and charging. It's easy to find and ground is good to drive in. The toilets are clean.
Even on busy day, it's not close to each other. They had 4 separate pitches to choose. The price is cheaper compared to other sites.
Farm site in a great location
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2023 This is a farm site in a great location for access to the Lake District. Very quiet and peaceful.
My level pitch was located in a smaller field with about a dozen pitches and close to the facilities.
There were toilets and showers in old farm outbuildings, which were adequate. Water was hot with a good flow and spacious cubicles.
Washing up facilities were next door and there was also a fridge provided.
A short walk takes you to a lovely pub serving food and there is a village shop another short walk away.
I like the place
