Absolutely lovely

Stayed with the hubby and the dog. An absolutely lovely site. Well maintained and spotless with good facilities. The staff are lovely and friendly and went above and beyond than expected. The site is fairly close to a few nice places, including the Hollies Farm Shop, which is packed full of nice stuff. It is also close to a pub. It was quiet and it was just the break we needed, we will definitely be back!

Clean, but lots of traffic noise

The campsite was clean and tidy, with nice facilities, but the traffic noise from the very fast busy road outside was off-putting.

Lovely campsite

A lovely, well run campsite, friendly welcome and a nice play park for children. The dog walk section was a bonus too.

Short break

This is a lovely, well maintained site with friendly staff that will go out of their way to accommodate your needs. We ordered pizza on the Friday, which is freshly made and baked in the stone oven. It was amazing and well worth the money. It rained all three days we were there so we didn't go walking much to check out the local area. However, we popped into the local pub which is about 5-7 minute walk down the road. The staff there were very nice and we had food which we both enjoyed. I will be booking to stay here again. Hopefully with better weather next 😀

Quiet site and not many people there

First time staying here, very quiet and not what we are used to. Very clean and nice facilities, very hygienic. Went to local pubs we were told would be open and they were all closed on the Monday. Nice site if you want peace and quiet.

Convenient, well maintained campsite

Nice site, well maintained. Brilliant location for what we wanted to do in Cheshire. Pity the Wi-Fi doesn't work though. Lots of wardens. Very busy at weekends and empty during the week. Site is a little exposed and maybe needs a windbreak or two.

Immaculate and beautifully maintained

The large dog exercise area and extended dog walking track around the camp was much appreciated. It is a shame that the nearby road is a bit busy but I did not hear the traffic from my pitch. The location is a bit limited if you do not have secondary transport as the approach road has small verges and no pavement. The owners and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Great location if you want peace and quiet.

Great little site, well run and all staff are helpful and friendly. Loved Friday pizza night.

Amazing place

Can't wait to come back! Absolutely loved our stay here, everything about it was brilliant! Location is fantastic, lots of things to do very close by and as it's right off a main road, there's no need to navigate the smaller country lanes with the caravan. As close as it is to the road though, we didn't hear any traffic noise. Super easy to pitch - drive into the space and pull away out of it - no reversing or manoeuvring needed and very spacious pitches :) Facilities and grounds were always spotless, the staff were super friendly and helpful and other guests were super friendly too! Can't praise this site enough and can't wait to come back!

Excellent

What an amazing campsite, beautifully maintained and kept by the owners, I would definitely stay here again. All local produce you are able to buy in the shop, apologies for not remembering your names, better thinking on my next visit.

Had a great stay at Elm Cotttage and would deffinatly stay again. Very clean, lovely people and everything you need is there

Paused visit

Had to postpone our visit due to circumstances beyond our control, but the owners were very good to the fact that they have held our booking for 12 months, so will be going early next year most probably.

Great four days camping

Lovely and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location for getting to Chester, Wales and other areas. Shops nearby. Only bad point, there is a little traffic noise from the nearby road which starts quite early.

Excellent site and excellent staff

Just back from our third stay at Elm Cottage. As previously, we were extremely happy with the site, the staff and the pitches. The wardens are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had an issue with the electrics on our Caravan and were put in touch with a local mechanic who fixed the problem same day. The site and the facilities are immaculate. It is the people who make the place and the wardens are superb people who engage with everyone. It is really, really dog friendly and our dog, Misty, loved the on site dog walk and numerous local walks as well as the fussing from people onsite. Every Friday night there are oven baked pizzas, which are really tasty and good value for money. All in all, Elm Cottage is thoroughly deserving of its five star reviews and we will definitely be back soon. Many thanks to all.

Weekend break

Lovely clean site. Very organised and well maintained.

Excellent place to stay

Super clean campsite with really helpful friendly staff. Loved the extra touches, like the pizzas made on site on Friday evenings. Showers and bathroom block was kept immaculate, even when the site was crammed at the weekend. Very flexible policy on EV charging which we appreciated a lot. Only downside for us with two young children was that the site was noisy at the weekend until curfew at 11pm. Staff assured us that they were spoken to and if they did not quieten down, they could be blacklisted. Good to hear they take that kind of stuff seriously.

Fantastic site

We arrived very late due to a motorway accident, but the site kept in touch and were ready for us once we arrived with no fuss. We were shown to our pitch which had plenty of room for our tent and plenty of space between each pitch. Sadly we missed the pizza on Friday night, but they did look great and lots of people eating. The facilities were very clean and plenty of hot water for shower/washing up etc. Also good recycling. All the staff were very helpful and willing to have a chat. Shop was very well stocked. We had tea at the Plough Inn. Good choice of food and drinks. As we missed the pizza on Friday we will definetely be going back. Great for all ages and families.

Fabulous

Wonderful site, which I will definitely visit again. Pizza and crepes are an extra touch, which makes the difference. The pitches park and shower block are brilliant.

Fantastic campsite and location

Excellent location and the campsite is immaculate. From our warm welcome until the time we left, all the staff were brilliant and so helpful. Would definitely recommend Elm Cottage for families and adults.

Lovely campsite

Lovely, spacious park with facilities to suit both our toddler and dog. Pizzas on the Friday were great and a short distance to one pub and a bit of a further walk to another 2 pubs. Would recommend and visit again!

Great site

Really lovely clean site with a great shower block, good quality showers and super clean. The play park was lovely for our daughter. A really peaceful site with lots to do in the area. Will definitely be back.

Lovely friendly people

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves even though we were there for 1 night. We stay every year and would highly recommend.

Great site, highly recommend

The toilets and other facilities were second to none. There were even fresh flowers in the toilet blocks. Everywhere was spotless. The site itself was in a great location, there were loads of places to visit nearby - we visited The Ramsdens Arms in Little Budworth for the food every night! Great value and quality. The staff on the site were very friendly and helpful. Never had better. We will definitely be returning when we can. Thanks to Elm Cottage for making our stay so lovely.

Fantastic site

Fantastic stay and site. Very clean and tidy. Showers and toilets were excellent as was the washing area. Cannot fault the place. Unfortunately the weather made us leave a night early but the owners were kind enough to credit us another night for another time. Can't fault anything apart from the weather. Would highly recommend.
