Clear filters A perfect campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 The campsite has everything you could possibly need. It's also very clean and has a great atmosphere.
I would 100% recommend this site to anyone I know.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Just wow!! This place has everything.
Let's face it, you always forget something. Well, they have you covered! Dishwashing liquid, shower gel and washing detergent. There's a kettle in the office. Fridge and freezers to use. Washing machine and tumble dryer to use for a small fee. Clean toilets and showers. Drinking water stations. A small fee to charge phones ect. Play area for the kids.
As it's a working farm you'll see a few house guest. I seemed to have attracted the turkeys! Either pecking at the tent or trying to get in the car!
I had a very enjoyable stay. I love open fires and having BBQs.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 The campsite was very relaxed, accommodating and facilities were fantastic. We only stayed for one night as a late booking but we will certainly be back again. So much for adults, families and children.
Location great, pub 30 minute walk but does include some road walking so may not be suitable for all. Take a torch if walking back at night.
We were lucky enough to see some amazing stars and even saw the milky way, as the sky was so clear and dark, incredible.

The perfect base for hiking the moor. It has lots of nice animals on site, chickens, ducks and turkeys.

Peaceful stay
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Loved my stay there. It was a part work, part surf trip and have been there 8 to 10 times since.
Always quiet, clean and plenty of space. Loved the ducks, chickens and Turkeys! Walking freely around. Nothing bad to say about it at all.

Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but it's a short walk to lovely real ale pub. Would come back tomorrow!

Everything about the site & facilities is great - showers & toilets were amazing quality - didn't feel like being on a campsite!
My son loved the indoor and outdoor play areas, there is such beautiful space to camp in and it's just a lovely place!

Fantastic facilities and campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 I hopped my way between a couple of campsites in Cornwall and Devon last week, and South Penquite was by far the most impressive.
The shower, toilet and washroom facilities were absolutely spotless, fresh, and large - as were the camping fields. It was very quiet and nearly had a whole field to myself! There were ducks, cats, and chickens roaming around and so I could imagine it being a fantastic site for those with young children.
The site is a little remote, which was exactly what I was looking for. It isn't too far from shops in town and the main road, but you will need a car! 10/10
Amazing
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Such a beautiful location with outstanding facilities. Loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back.
Only wish I stayed 2 nights and didn't move on to the next place. Loved the animals roaming freely, kept me entertained for hours just watching them. Couldn't get any Wi-Fi or 3g signal in the van, had to to the food barn but not a problem for us.
We had pizza for dinner and then a sausage bap in the morning which was amazing. There's a fridge and freezer that you can use. Phone charging lockers and more.
Just perfect. Looking forward to going back.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 We had such a great stay! The facilities were fantastic, especially the showers. We couldn’t stop raving about it. We loved the ability to choose our pitch in the very roomy field and the chickens, turkeys and ducks waddling about was a lovely plus. We cannot recommend this campsite enough :)
Amazing remote site near Bodmin
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Perfect location if you're looking for somewhere to stop on your way down to south Cornwall.
Really remote, peaceful site with some amazing wildlife and animals in the surrounding area.
The site was super chilled, we could pick any empty area we wanted and encouraged to have open fires and a BBQ - even purchased some of the farm's mutton burgers which were amazing! Facilities were basic but everything that you need.
Very different experience to many other campsites and would definitely return!
