A lovely stay in the Robin Roost cabin

We were welcomed as soon as we arrived, and shown our lovely cabin, which was absolutely clean and well-equipped. The facilities are very clean as well. From our cabin, we had a very nice view on the countryside! The only down side is that our first neighbours were very noisy, but these are the joys of camping! Besides, children seemed to have a great time all together. We recommend visiting the Hartland Abbey and Tintagel Castle, respectively 30min/45min drive.

Excellent stay - everything was beautiful and clean. The showers were excellent and there was a great play area for children. Will definitely go back there again.

Great service!

Stayed here when storm Noah hit and had to find shelter. Hunkered down in their cabin which was really comfortable. The owner was friendly and very helpful. It's In a quiet location but away from main roads so might need a bit of driving. We've no complaints at all, the facilities were good, wish we had more time. I will consider a stay in our camper when we're down this way again.

Really nice site

Staff were welcoming, site is clean and organised. Has a huge indoors play area in case of bad weather for badminton, basketball, table tennis etc. The small shop on site offers fresh eggs, homemade honey and charcoal. We could even buy a portable gas cooker for a fair price! Is about a 20 minute drive from Bude, Clovelly.

Lovely little getaway

Brilliant stay for me and my family, we have had a lovely time. My second visit this time and opted for the wood cabin and they are comfortable and cosy. Fire pits and star gazing is a must- don't forget your marshmallows 🥰.

Remote site with everything you need

Mine was a one-night stay while touring the West Country. All I needed was a grass pitch and a shower, but this site has lots more- nice pitches with electricity, a shop and even laundry facilities. The reception was friendly, helpful and very welcoming. For some people, the remoteness of the site might be a negative, as the nearest pub and little general store is about 4 miles away. I had a good nights sleep and will happily come again.

Almost perfect stay!

Lovely clean facilities, outstanding customer service, lovely quiet location, great fire pits and hammocks by the stream. The only slight criticism is that there are too few showers/toilets for the size of the campsite. Other than that the stay was excellent value for money.

Thank you for your lovely comments. We have 10 showers which is more than double the statutory requirement for the number of showers to the number of pitches, but at peak times there is occasionally a short wait Hope you enjoyed the games room too.

Woodview retreat

Made to feel extremely welcome in this idyllic, peaceful site. The staff were very accommodating to all. So much to see and do with easy access to A39.

Love this campsite

Love this family run campsite. Have wonderful brook side hammocks with open fire pits you can barbeque on. Always clean and never had to queue for the showers. Good location for access down towards Cornwall and up to Woolacombe and Ilfracombe to. The campsite owners are friendly and passionate about their campsite. Just love this place.

Lovely campsite, great location on the Devon/Cornwall border, easy to find, friendly family run business and great value for money. Would happily stay there again!

Absolutely lovely!

Lovely stay for my daughters 8th birthday. Lovely site. Beautiful surroundings. Kids indoor play area was a great touch along with hammocks and fire pits. Highly recommend. Will be back ❤️

A little bit of Heaven

We have a touring caravan in permanent residence at Woodview Campsite which we found through some very good friends. What can we tell you about the site, it's spotlessly clean with wardens checking and cleaning daily. Children can play in a large barn, or enjoy 5 aside football, pool, snooker, badminton, the lot! It's all there. Fires down by the stream at night toasting marshmallows or falling out of the hammocks, the grandchildren just loved it. To sum up, it's quiet, spotless, with all the amenities but without the crash-bang of a commercial club site. It's our little piece of heaven that we look forward to visiting every year.

Not great for caravans with awnings.

We booked an extra large pitch with hardstanding. Arrived on site to find half of the pitch was on a slope downhill & the hardstanding solid concrete! We had no option but to badly put up the awning on the bit of usable grass, in order to make it fit, reducing its size by two foot in width. This left a slope when you stepped out the awning which was dangerous when wet. Noisy on site late at night and everyone is really close together. Not a great layout in our opinion. The roads to get to site are very narrow & with an 8ft wide caravan it was very tight in places where the hedges were not cut back. The games room was a great idea but balls were flat and pieces were missing although this was due to the users not taking care of the facilities and not the owners. The photos whilst show the facilities are not an accurate representation of how you now find the site.

Thank you for your feedback. Most of the lanes of Devon and Cornwall are narrow, so it is up to the customer to be satisfied that their driving skills are up to manoeuvring a caravan around here. The roads are used on a regular basis by large milk tankers and farmers vehicles. There are strict by laws as to when the hedges can be cut, especially in relation to birds nesting, and for wildlife. They have all been cut in the autumn for next nesting season. We live on site and have wardens who are available if there are problems with noise. We were made aware of the problems with the sloping pitch, and as soon as the season ended we remedied this for next year. This has been at considerable expense, and we will have to look at pricing for next year. The games room and all the equipment is provided free of charge. This year there was a new pool table, and new racquets, bats etc for table tennis and badminton. New balls were put out for football and basketball. If we are notified of damage, we replace these on a very frequent basis.

Woodview Campsite

A lovely campsite set in the countryside, clean showers and toilets, lovely owners who will help you in anyway they can. There are hammocks and campfire sites by the stream, and Bude is a 10 min drive away where there are plenty of beautiful beaches and shops, as well as opportunities for surfing and bodyboarding. There is a playbarn and park for the younger children onsite and they also have a visiting pizza van during the summer. If you want a quiet, relaxed holiday, this is the place!

Best camping experience for years

Loved camping here with my kids. Especially enjoyed the camp layout & facilities. My kids couldn't stay out of the games area, neither could I!
