St Martin's Campsite is merely feet away from one of the best sandy beaches in Scilly, offering a lovely secluded break with just the waves and friendly local villages around you. With pitches spread across five fields right by the beach, there's sheltered space for everyone with unbelievable views.
This small family run campsite offers seclusion, protection and all the amenities you could wish for. It's ideally situated on the island, only feet away from a sandy beach, a couple of minutes' walk from the pub and just five minutes' walk from Lower Town quay. St Martin's Campsite is spread over five fields of varying size, so you'll always find the perfect spot to set up camp and there are hedgerows that provided comfortable shelter from the sea breeze. Subdued lighting is used at night time, as it's far nicer to let the Milky Way light your path. There's no better opportunity for stargazing than this. From Monday to Saturday the staff meet the lunchtime boat from St Mary's to collect guests' luggage (£10 per return trip), load it up on the tractor and trailer and then drive new arrivals to the site. The campground is dog-friendly for most of the year, though four-legged friends cannot join guests on holiday during the school holidays, when families are top priority.
The site is open from the 25th of March until the 30th of September.
The site limits the number of people to no more than 100 to keep the site's family atmosphere. Camping is in five fields protected by hedging, so there is always the perfect spot for you to set up.

Unfortunately St Martin's Campsite doesn't share their availability calendar with us yet. Availability changes quickly, especially in summer, so we recommend enquiring by phone to avoid missing out.
We try to have as few rules as possible, only common sense ones:
We do not have dogs during either of the school holidays i.e Whitsun half term and the main school summer holidays.
When dogs are on the site they are not be left unattended, and owners must clean up after them.
Fires and BBQs are to be kept off the ground to save our grass.
Noise must be kept to a minimum after 10.30pm.
To put it all simply: "Please respect your fellow campers and have a great holiday".
Starting with the tasty treats on site, dig into freshly baked pastries each morning and Aga baked potatoes in the evenings.
Next step just across from the campsite to enjoy Amazing views throughout the island, soft white sandy beaches and go rockpooling or sea swimming.
When it's time to explore more of the island, there's plenty in the local village to make you feel welcome with an artisan bakery and all the amenities you need. Most importantly there is also a pub with the best view ever, great food and fab beer.
The Island of St Martins has so much to offer from sweet tea rooms to top notch fish and chips, and the very popular kayak and SUP hire. Even wandering around this breathtaking island can be lovely way to wile away a holiday.
Top of the attractions are:
Don't miss watching locals gig rowing every Friday night, in a hotly contested match between the islands. There are local produce stalls through out the island, so be sure to try some of the fresh flavours of this part of the world.
