Basic site

The facilities were basic and the laundry room was not very clean. The showers didn't have a shower caddy, you had to leave your wash stuff on the shower floor. However, the towel rail was hot, so you could warm your towel. We had a dog with us but there was no allocated dog walking area.

Our stay

Showers were not clean and felt the water was not hot enough. Told the pub was closed but may be open the next day. Went to local pub to be told they were not opening.

Hi there Ray. Thank you for your review. We are somewhat confused that you didn't mention any issue with the showers when you came up and complained that the Pub wasn't open. Had you mentioned an issue with the water temperature and the cleanliness of the showers our onsite maintenance/cleaning team would have rectified this immediately. The Pub was run by a third party who had closed due to unforeseen circumstances. We did not have any prior knowledge to this, which we explained to you during our conversation at our reception. Our visit to Eden

We stayed here to visit The Eden Project, which was suitably close. Site suited our needs and was clean and well maintained.

Good base to explore Newquay

Had a two day stay here. The pitch was fully serviced with a great view overlooking the fields. The shower and toilets were clean with plenty of hot water. The laundry prices started at £7 for an eco wash so we didn't bother.

Holiday

It was a lovely site with very clean facilities. We felt it was just a little more pricey than other sites with the same facilities we'd stayed at.

Late summer heat

Great views, helpful staff and lovely location. 'The Fox's Revenge' on site offered a great meal, so all in all a big win.

Very good place to stay!

Very nice place to stay. Quiet & peaceful. Only 15 mins away from beach. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay at Carvynick!

Great weekend stay at Carynick campsite. The site is gorgeous! We arrived a bit later than planned on a Friday early eve. Reception was closed but they'd called me earlier in the day to explain they would leave my welcome pack out if we did end up arriving later. Set up our tent in a huge field we had to ourselves just a few minutes walk to the toilet/shower block. Facilities were clean and accessible. The pub on site is awesome! The food exceeded expectations and all staff were friendly and attentive. Super close to Newquay and other beautiful places along the coast. The weather wasn't amazing for our stay, but we made full use of the pub on site and managed to get out for walks with our dogs during the short spells of sunshine. Would defo visit again for a longer time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the campsite. It was huge and beautiful.

Nice place - clean and quiet

We only stayed one night. Reception staff were friendly and available when we needed them, even though it was out of season. £10 deposit for shower key. Facilities roomy and clean. Our only very slight criticism is that the electric plug for our pitch (14) was awkward to reach and I scratched my face on the bamboo trying to see what I was doing.

Ignore the bad reviews

We were welcomed by a lovely lady who gave us all the information we needed and answered all of our questions. The site itself was lovely. Great views and was quiet. The toilets and showers were clean. Plenty of wildlife and the site felt tranquil. Read the reviews beforehand and was sceptical but glad we ignored the bad ones. This place was great. Will be back. Thank you.

Great site with beautiful views

Great site, beautiful views, good size pitches and the reception was very helpful. The only thing I would say is it could've done with more signs as you come into the side where the caravan pitches are.

What a break!

We loved it here. The location was stunning and every night we had the most beautiful sunset. We were very hesitant before booking a place here. Some reviews really didn't sell it, but gosh, we are so glad we ignored them. It wasn't too packed and if you wanted complete privacy that was an option. We had a whole field to ourselves (we got lucky) and we were right next to the toilet and shower blocks that were kept very clean (just make sure you bring shower shoes to change in to as to not drag mud in, as we are all living outside). We didn't want to leave, so we booked another night and even in the rainstorm, we had a lot of fun. A cute, good-looking bar on site along with a pub that served warm food. Only a small drive to Newquay town centre and much cheaper than hotels around there. We enjoyed it so much, I have Carvynick blues. Will be back :)

5 star campsite!

My partner and I stayed at this site during our visit for Boadmasters Festival and we were blown away by the kindness and how helpful the staff were. Unfortunately our van broke down during our stay (7 hours away from home) and the staff really went above and beyond to help with buses, taxis, mechanic recommendations and even storing our stuff for a few days whilst our van was being fixed! The facilities are some of the best we have experienced. The campsite is spotless, the showers have hot water and are very spacious and clean! There is a fridge/freezer, charging plugs and even a mirror to dry your hair, they really have thought of every detail. There are two large fields which are very spacious! Despite staying during the festival, the campsite was very peaceful and offered plenty of room to camp with some privacy. There is a shop a short drive/walk away that also has a bus stop into Newquay. We really cannot recommend this campsite enough based on how helpful the staff are and how great the facilities were!

Motorhome stay at Carvynick

Great location with large fully serviced pitch and well kept facilities. Foxes Revenge on site and easy access from A30.

Great stay

Great please, will be back for sure, the cleanliness would have got 5, but I think we spoke to you the day we left about what someone had done in the shower block, not your fault! Great location, loved it.
