About the site


Located within easy reach of some of Cornwall's top sandy beaches for watersports, including Perranporth Beach, just five minutes away and Fistral Beach (15 minutes), this site is an ideal coastal base for families. The local village of Goonhavern is only a ten minute walk away and offers a pub, supermarket, and bus stop. Spread across five acres of landscaped grass, there are non electric grass tent pitches and several electric grass pitches with a 16 amp electric hook up for tents, caravans, campervans, and motorhomes. Please note that all pitches measure 9.1m x 9.1 m. During your stay, you'll have access to ten acres of spacious fields, ideal for dog walks or soaking up the surrounding countryside views. Children will enjoy the outdoor play area, an indoor games room with ping pong, pool, table tennis, and a TV. Beyond the site, the popular town of Newquay is a 15 minute drive, offering a range of attractions, including the Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay and Newquay Zoo. The Eden Project can also be reached within 35 minutes. A maximum of two dogs are welcome onsite. Please ensure they are kept on their leads at all times. Raised BBQs are permitted here. Sorry, open fires are not allowed.

Onsite, there are two toilet and shower blocks, a separate accessible toilet/shower, as well as two washing up areas. You will have access to a washing machine/tumble dryer that runs on a meter, as well as a fridge and a freezer for ice blocks.

There is a ten-acre dog walking area, an outdoor play area with a football net, swings, a slide and a climbing frame, a communal family/games room open from 8:30am-10:30pm, and equipped with a TV, a football table, ping pong, a pool table, and board games.

For dining out, The New Inn, in Goonhavern, is a ten minute walk away. Should you need to pick up camping essentials, Londis and Mr Fruity are within a 15 minute walk away. For services to Newquay, Goonhavern New Inn bus stop is less than a ten minute walk away, too.

*Check-in is from 1pm-8pm. The site does not permit arrivals after 8pm or sunset, whichever comes first.

*Please check out by 10am.

*Raised BBQs are permitted. Open fires are not allowed here.

*The site only allows one car and six people per pitch.

*Awnings must have breathable groundsheets only.

*Dogs must be kept on their leads at all times.

*The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

*Please do not leave dogs or children unattended onsite.

*Dogs must be kept on their leads at all times.

*Waste water containers must be used.

*Children/teenagers must be back to their own caravan or tent by 10:30pm.

*The site operates a quiet policy between 10pm-8am.

*Group bookings of three or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).

*Visitors must leave the site by 10:30pm.

*There's a minimum of seven night stay during peak times, a minimum five night stay during other times.

We are a very friendly and quiet family site, and feel fortunate to welcome many returning guests, from those who grew up holidaying here to now bringing their own children.

Things to do on site and in the Truro area

The coastal town of Perranporth is a short five minute drive away from the site and home to the sandy Perranporth Beach where you can enjoy coastal walks along the South West Coast Path, exploring rock pools and caves, as well as surfing, kayaking, and bodyboarding along the waves.

There are plenty of shops to browse, too, along with the Saints Trail for walkers and cyclists, which can take up to an hour to walk.

Walk ten minutes to the local village of Goonhavern, where you can have a bite to eat in a local pub, visit the garden centre, or hop on a bus to Newquay. Children will love a visit to Lappa Valley, Newquay Zoo, and the Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay, which are all within a 15 minute drive away.

Visit Truro (20 minutes) for Truro Cathedral and the Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery.

If you fancy wandering among the incredible landscaped grounds of a 16th-century manor house, then head to Trerice (20 minutes), or drive 40 minutes to The Lost Gardens of Heligan to explore national collections, wildlife, and 200 acres of land to walk.
