Great location, good pitches and fantastic shower block and loos, very clean and to a high standard. Everything you need with a single exception. Due to the nature of the location it's often wet! Very wet! Having no laundry services (that I could find) meant that wet clothes stay wet for the duration of the camp, especially if you don't get a break in the weather. Other than that fantastic, well worth it.

Absolutely poured continually but we stayed dry. The pod is beautifully situated. Toilets and showers very clean. Would have liked a drying room, otherwise just what we wanted.

We had a great time. The pod was a great alternative to a tent and big enough for 2 adults and 2 large dogs. Location is excellent especially for those of us with family and friends in the region. Went for a lovely walk round Rydal Water right from the campsite and took the dogs for a decent early morning walk up the beck. Will definitely come again.

Good Day Jo, Thank you for the kind review. It was lovely having you and your and husband stay with us. I enjoyed meeting you both and your beautiful dogs and getting to feed them some treats. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Lizete

Great, quiet campsite located in a beautiful location close to Rydal Water, the bottom of the Fairfield Horseshoe and with easy links to Ambleside and Grasmere via the bus at the bottom of the road.

Great location, and all very clean and tidy. Would definitely return, and might well do so in 2022. Only comment would be that the grass pitches can be quite stony under the grass, and that it can take a few mins to get tent pegs in the ground. Bring a few spare in case of bending!!

Beautiful setting. The grounds are amazing with so much to see. Beautiful waterfall with a stream. Some people took a dip, so bring your swimmers! Lovely little bar and coffee shop. The Forrest had some lovely little touched for the kids to look for and explore. Facilities were amazing! It was our first camping trip so the toilets, showers etc were a lovely surprise. Will absolutely book again!

Incredible setting. So much to enjoy on the site itself including the estate gardens & surrounding grounds and waterfall. We stayed with young children aged 2 and 4. We walked into Ambleside which took around 25 minutes and took the open top bus for the return journey. The facilities were of high standard and regularly cleaned. The pitches are in plenty space given the lay of the land (hilly). The cafe and pub on site were handy too. The views around the site were picturesque. On the whole a great stay and will look to return next year.

Lovely place. One of the friendliest sites we have ever stayed at, very organised and clean, modern facilities. Maybe could do with another toilet/ shower block if I was pushed to find something negative. Great base for walking.

The site is perfectly located for anyone wanting to explore the Windermere area. Shower blocks and facilities are extremely clean and well maintained, and the bar provided welcome refreshments after a days walking or kayaking. The site itself is beautiful, and the waterfall, gardens and sculpture walk on site are well worth adding to your schedule. There was plenty of room to pitch our bell tent and the site never felt too busy or crowded. We were spoilt for choice with so much to see and do, both on foot, and a short drive away.
