VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesOct 2025

The owners were very nice and friendly and helpful, the private bathroom facilities were very clean. You're given a key for the building and you're allocated your own bathroom, hot water and the heating was on all day.

VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesOct 2025

We went on Friday for a long birthday weekend and from the moment we arrived the owners could not do enough for us. The pitch was very spacious and the grounds were lovely. It was within easy reach of the coast and also the main Lakes in the Lake District. The bathroom to just ourselves was a luxury and were pristine in condition and cleanliness. The owner was extremely kind, welcoming and made sure we were happy every day. She even got me a birthday card. I enjoyed talking to her and what she didn't know she would make it her mission to find out for you. I would definitely stay here again as the location is perfect, however if your after something a bit above average for a place to have a meal I would not recommend the greyhound pub. The food was ok, but nothing special. Also plan well ahead in advance if you need a taxi as they are far and few between. The cost to the pub and back was £30. Overall, if your looking for an above average site, specifically for adults this is your site and its well worth the £40 per night fee. So a big thank you and hopefully we will see you again.

Peaceful and friendly

VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesSep 2025

A lovely peaceful adults only site, really friendly and helpful owners. Couldn't do enough for us. Toilet facilities very good. Good location near Cockermouth and Bassenthwaite. Would recommend for someone looking for a peaceful informal spot to relax in.
