About the site


Ideally located for exploring North Devon, this site offers a relaxing retreat for couples just 15 minutes from Holsworthy and 30 minutes from the coast. Enjoy the countryside views and explore woodland trails from the site's lower field. The Tarka Trail is just 20 minutes from the site, offering a series of cycle paths and footpaths through North Devon and Exmoor. For those who want to stay by the sea, the South West Coast Path is also 20 minutes away, offering charming seaside strolls, or head to Hartland Devon Heritage Coast in 30 minutes. There are two handcrafted, ensuite shepherd huts onsite. The Big Hut, set near the hobby vineyard, features a kingsize bed, while the Little Hut has a comfy double wall bed with scenic rural views. Both are equipped with kitchenettes, including an oven, hob, toaster, kettle, fridge, and all the crockery and cutlery you could need. Bedding and towels are provided. Outside, each hut has its own private wood-burning hot tub for soaking under the stars. Al fresco evenings are encouraged with fire pits provided for BBQs and campfires. Please note this is a pet free site.

Both shepherd's huts include an ensuite bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette with a sink, fridge, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, and crockery. Outside, there is seating alongside a fire pit, BBQ grill, and a wood-burning hot tub with a cover.

For essentials, Morrisons Daily and Waitrose are a 15 minute drive away. A five minute drive away is the Blackberry Farm Shop, open from 9am to 5pm daily. The Devil's Stone Inn is a ten minute drive away, serving food and drinks.

For those who enjoy scenic walks and cycling adventures, this is an ideal spot for you. A 20 minute drive away is the Tarka Trail, offering cycle paths and footpaths through North Devon and Exmoor. Nature lovers can visit two nearby nature reserves, Mambury Moor and Stowford Moor, both 15 minutes from the site.

Head to the Tamar Lakes (20 minutes) for a peaceful lakeside stroll, where you can unwind and get a sweet treat at the lakeside cafe.

If you're looking for something more action-packed, North Devon Wake Park is 25 minutes from the site, offering a fun filled day out with a range of watersports, including wakeboarding and a fun inflatable aqua park.
