Great campsite

Such a lovely clean and well kept site. Little bit far out to walk to places, as it's all up hill on the way back, but we still did it and worth it to stay here.

What a beautiful place

What a fantastic place to stay. The place is stunning, the owners are such nice people and the site is spotless. It's not far from Ilfracombe and me and the wife walked it everyday. Really enjoyed our stay, many thanks.

Lovely site

We had a lovely 4 night stay at the park. Friendly staff, willing to help. The facilities were nice and clean and the site looked immaculate and well maintained. Nice park for the children to burn off some energy.

Clean, family and dog friendly. Very friendly and welcoming staff and very well looked after. Would definitely recommend.

On a hilly site

Nice place, I had an issue about a fault with WiFi not working so well. Reported this issues and takes a few days to fix because the engineer on leave! On high season, which is an important period of needs? This place is nice, but be aware that this site is on a hill side. No nearby shop around this area.

Fantastic site within walking distance of Ilfracombe harbour

The hosts are genuinely nice people who want your stay to be as pleasant as possible and can do enough to ensure that, even offering weary walkers a lift up to their pitch/ accommodation. Our pitch was blessed with sun from around 10am to sunset and each pitch has its own electric point with drinking water and it's own grey waste drain. The wonderfully named 3 glamping pods "iPod, tripod & peapod" are in a beautiful setting along with some grass tent pitches. There isn't a shop on site but there is a petrol station and shop around a 5 mins walk away. The park entrance which Genoa's everything you could need. Also, a very nice pub and not forgetting Hele's kitchen, who do great takeaway food including picnic boxes for the beach. A further 5 minutes walk is Hele cove which is a nice little beach (dog friendly) where you can either paddle board or Kayak (I did twice). The lodges and statics look great and some have hot tubs. We have already rebooked a stay in November (birthday treat) for a pod with hot tub and will definitely be back next year.

Perfect

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Toilets and showers spotless. We were booked for just one night as a stop gap break however will definitely be back, but for longer next time. Thank you

Camping experience

First time here and would highly recommend this site. It is perfectly located with very generous pitch sizes. Shower facilities excellent, never had any trouble getting a shower. The best plus for me was the peace and quiet, a very tranquil site.

Lovely stay at Hele Valley

Lovely stay at this site. Even though it was full, it was quiet. Good sized pitches. I had a small camper van pitch and it was big enough for micro camper van, two man tent and a toilet tent. Hele beach is a lovely cove. Great for children and paddle boarding. Bit of a long walk up hill back to the camping area after a long day out but manageable when done slowly. Stayed for a week and would have stayed longer if I could. Only thing I would say would enhance the site more would be a takeaway shop/café on site.

Nice site

Nice site, only there 1 night but good walk to Hele Bay, a bit of a climb over to Ilfracombe, but still nice and not far. Treat yourself to breakfast at Comyn Farm at the top end of the campsite, great food and experience, and lovely people. Dogs are very welcome.

Our week at Hele Valley 2022

From checking in at the reception, the whole time was exceptionally relaxing with everyone we met were very friendly. Will certainly recommend and given chance will visit again.

Great trip

Excellent trip to Hele Valley Holiday Park. The site was lovely and clean and really quiet at night time. Would really recommend for small quiet families, or couples.

Campervan pitch

Owners were very friendly and helpful. Site well positioned for short walk to beach and town centre. Showers and toilets extremely clean and well looked after. Good value per pitch, Highly recommended.

Small friendly campsite

The site has friendly and helpful staff, who are knowledgeable about the local area and keen to share this knowledge with guests. Hele Bay itself has limited facilities on offer, with one shop that seems to have very irregular opening times. Most grocery supplies can be purchased at the local garage, however, and there is a pub close to the site. If walking is your thing, the coast path is glorious and only a five-minute walk from the site, making it an ideal spot to explore the picturesque coastal walks on the doorstep.

Excellent stay, very helpful staff

Excellent site. When we had a problem on arrival, the staff were very helpful and managed to accommodate us. Very peaceful stay. Lovely clean facilities. Would highly recommend.

Holiday break

Immaculate pod with everything we needed. Such friendly and helpful staff. The site was so clean and well kept. In walking distance of a beach and eating pub. Bus service was excellent, so we didn't need to use the car. Will definitely be going again.

Quiet site, good location, excellent cleanliness, and very friendly helpful staff - would highly recommend. Access is a bit tight for caravan but still manageable.

A great find!

First stay at Hele Valley and definitely not the last. The team made us all feel really welcome and were very friendly and approachable. The park was very well kept and the toilet and shower facilities were up there with some of the best I have experienced. Loved the ability to walk into town and the little local bay. It's a huge yes from me! Thanks for having us.

Lovely site

The holiday park was clean, well maintained, quiet, and staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend the site - we will definitely be booking to stay there again in the future if we are visiting the area.

Lovely location, excellent facilities

Our first visit to this site. Lovely site surrounded by trees. Pitches a good size too. Facilities really good and always clean. Staff friendly and helpful; always busy tidying/checking site. Location great for exploring North Devon.

Very peaceful and relaxing.Toilet and shower room very clean. Plenty of hot water in the showers.

Friendly staff, well maintained site

I stayed for a few days with my teenage granddaughter. The site was very clean and well kept with excellent showering and washing facilities. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, we had a great time. There are beautiful walks from the campsite, we loved it.
