What a great place, we had an amazing time. Kids loved it, plenty for them to do. Facilities was spot on, clean and tidy and the kids loved the petting zoo. Have to check this out if you visit - 5 stars all round.

Our family of four, along with our dog, had an amazing time at this campsite in Devon. From fun golf and swimming to two playgrounds, there was never a dull moment. The on-site bars were great, and the catering vans offered excellent food - the pizza is a must-try! The clean bathrooms were a pleasant surprise. Safety was top-notch, allowing our kids to roam freely. We'd love to visit again; it truly felt like a home away from home.

We arrived on Sunday, only to be told that there was no more entertainment that month, despite there being a week of the school holidays left. Everything else activity wise was a chargeable amount, including the pool. This I could understand, but it became a very expensive time for adults, paying for things like the pool and the petting zoo, when we weren't even part of the experiences. I think there could have been a reduced fee for supervising adults. There was also nothing really for teenage children to do, so we ended up leaving 4 days early. A very expensive holiday for just a pitch with no real activities included.

Great location to access loads of places for days out. Not our usual kind of site, we really enjoyed it, the bar was a plus and the pool was good too.

Great welcome in reception. Very good site facilities - heated pool, pub / restaurant , café and petting zoo. An immaculately maintained site. We felt a bit let down by the dated toilet block with no combined toilet / shower cubicles. The toilets took a bit of work to flush and those little square sheets of toilet paper fall mainly on the floor. We felt the shower cubicles were a bit small, so keeping your clothes dry was a challenge, but it was immaculately kept nevertheless.

We are sad to hear that Petorama may not remain on site. This would be a mistake as this was a huge draw for me and the family.

We took our Grandson here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Loads to keep him occupied. Beautiful site, friendly staff and very clean and tidy. We would definitely come back.

A lovely, friendly, family orientated park. Good facilities with a nice cafe and pub offering a variety of and drinks from breakfast to dinner and snacks. The late evening entertainment we saw was good and there was also a lot of stuff aimed at the younger visitor earlier in the evening. All in all good value for money and would recommend.

Great site with great facilities. Very clean and lots of facilities. It is a very big site so lots of people if you don't mind that kind of thing.

Enjoyed this site. It had good facilities. Unfortunately, our party was split up, even though we asked to be near to each other when we booked. We still had a lovely time though. The pool was quite small for the very large site it's for, and we were disappointed that you had to book an hour slot for it. Also priced £3.50 per person, which we all thought was a little steep for a campsite pool. The age restrictions on the pool was also a little odd. 15 years and under have to have an adult in the pool with them, usually 8 at any other site/leisure centre we have visited. The site was very clean and tidy and although I didn't need to speak to many staff, they were all pleasant and polite.

This campsite has everything you could possibly need. Great fun for kids, equally peaceful enough for couples looking to get away from it all. Showers had plenty of hot water, even on busy days.

Having stayed at Stowford before, we didn't hesitate to book again. However, this time was not as good as previous stays. Field 5 was too sloping to be able to level up, even with Milenco Quattro ramps. It was school holidays but had no real entertainment to speak of. Before, there had been outdoor entertainment on the green. Chip shop was shut Monday when we arrived. The café is only open until 3:30pm, so no sit down evening meal, only food vans. Sorry to say that will be our last Stowford visit. I cannot fault the helpfulness of the staff who went out of their way to help me with a mechanical issue. Good clean facilities.

This is a huge site with great sized pitches. We stayed in field 3 in an 8 man tent with a porch and still had loads of room for the kids to play in front. Toilet block and cleaning facilities are clean and tidy. Great addition with the indoor swimming pool with the kids but would need to book. The only bit I would criticise is The Petorama. Far too many animals in such an enclosed space. As soon as we got in, the gentleman gave a basket to my son with a baby rabbit and baby guinea pig inside and told him to sit and left us too it. Being a Vet nurse, all of this went against the grain of how I feel animals should be looked after and cared for, and feel this could be a lot better.

Great site, clean and well looked after. Good facilities which are well maintained by a helpful, approachable and competent staff. Perfect location for exploring the local area which is what we wanted. Definitely will return. Wi-Fi as with most sites could be better, plenty of AP's but back end could be improved. Go, you'll love it.

It really does have everything, you don't need to actually leave! There is a pub on site, the Stable Bar, and their food is really good. The Parlour Café do a fab breakfast and everything is very dog friendly. Brilliant touch having the food vans outside, gives you plenty of choice. Combe Martin, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Lynton and Lynmouth all in close proximity by car. Only downside was no phone signal and Wi-Fi was not the best.

First time we have visited the site and we were very impressed. Staff super friendly and the cost of amenities on site reasonable too. We felt the stable where the entertainment is needed modernisation (roof leaked on bench seat) and, due to size of site, made bigger. All in all, I would return and as I said, staff were very friendly.

We just had a great stay at Stowford Village. Kids enjoyed a swim and the petting zoo as well as the disco at night.

I have rated this site a 4 but it is a hair’s breadth away from a 5. The only reason I’ve marked it less than perfect is that the hard standing on pitch 42 is very sloped (and by the looks of it most of the others in the vicinity were given the significant use of levelling blocks). I’m sure the site owners could afford to reinvest some of their profits into levelling those pitches and providing all hard standing pitches with water hook up.

We found our stay to be really disappointing. The facilities were fantastic and we can't fault them, however, we found that booking any activities was really hard work and seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. The booking for the swimming pool and horse riding was so arduous we nearly didn't bother and I feel like the stables was quite a stand-offish experience. I understand there are safety regulations and horsemanship to consider, but the manager seemed to judge my kids and assume they couldn't ride, so we paid for a half hour riding at a walking pace around a ring rather than attempting anything more adventurous. The petting barn really is quite a poor place. The animals are kept in there to be man handled by over enthusiastic kids with a manager giving instructions around like we're all stupid (and I appreciate that lots of people are!) I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was a bit dark and dirty! I'm not sure I'd recommend to anyone, but if camping is all you're after, the site is great.
