Lovely

Sarah is a lovely host, very caring and informative. She greets you and makes sure booking ok, then leaves you in peace. Spaces fantastic, lovely facilities and I'll be back.

Family friendly camping

Great location to great beaches and things to do and see. Value for money a little on the expensive side for a camp of its size though as said, in a great location. Facilities were clean and tidy throughout stay, main ladies and gents clearly recently been updated and look great. Family room shower could do with a revamp and light within the shower cubical, can be hard to see when dark outside.

Lovely site, great location, very friendly owner

Very nice campsite, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The site is very small, we like a smaller site but it felt too crammed in and if it was full, it wouldn't be very good, we had a large pitch but it was more standard size. They have toilets and showers, but it's one toilet for men and women each, with 2 showers and 3 sinks. They did have a family room that had a toilet and a shower in. The toilet chemical area was full of flies but that can't be helped, it was high that made it easy to use, and hose pipe right next to it so that was very handy! They did have a wash up area but I didn't use it. Lots of taps for drinking water dotted about. The site is a big house with stables that has been turned into half a campsite, with a few caravans dotted about too. They had some old caravans plonked in the back of the field right in the direction of the view, just made the site feel untidy and not as relaxing as it could be. I would move them or at least have them placed in line so it looks better. The horses are adorable, lovely to sit and watch them eating the grass but it came with some unwanted visitors called horse flies, we all got bit so many times, even with fly sprays, and candles and firepit going. The pitches aren't level, lots of dips and slanted down so coffee cups would slide off the table, but that's a part of the fun, the grass was lovely and spongy and well maintained, lovely to walk on and everywhere was so clean. The caravans that are there to be stored for people looked untidy with lots of grass around them. The showers were lovely but no handheld hose, so couldn't get 100% clean like at home, but loved that it was a single cubical for privacy. Overall, a lovely site but way too much money for what it was, it needs a bit of a tidy up. The road was very loud so if you don't sleep well with noise, it won't be good for you, you can hear constant traffic noise all day too. But, the location is fab, everything at your doorstep and walks straight from the campsite, and easy to access roads so easy to find. I had a lovely time but probably wouldn't go back again.

Stay at Sunnymede campsite

An absolutely lovely campsite. Sarah and her family were most friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to book there again if we are in that part of Devon. I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a really good campsite.

Our stay

Great site and facilities. Very clean and the owner was very welcoming and full of advice and assistance. Waited for the local bus to Ilfracombe but never arrived on a number of occasions and ended up catching a different service 3/4 mile up the road following a pretty difficult country lane walk. Got a taxi back from Ilfracombe. Other than that, it was a very relaxing break.

It was a nice quiet site. Nice lady in the office, very helpful and polite. Really enjoyed it. Close to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe.

Lovely site, nice and quiet. Good, clean facilities. Bus stops outside the site to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. Helpful, friendly people running the site.

Pleasant stay

Value for money site. Peaceful site. Only a short stay but would consider coming back if we visit the area. Owners very welcoming.

Nice place to get your head down

Good location between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe, on plain grass field which is on a slight slope with a small playground in, two showers and one toilet per male and female. Unfortunately drainage was not amazing in the showers and trays filled up with water. The field was also not lit at all at night so it is a dark walk across the field. The lady who ran reception was very friendly and helpful when we arrived giving us lots of information, unfortunately we only stayed 2 of the 3 nights due to horrendous rain.

Lovely campsite. A very friendly greeting when we arrived. A lovely pitch and the facilities were adequate, although we used our own. Perfect location for Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. Will definitely be back!

Overall great site

Great location and lovely owners. Views were amazing! Only negative were the facilities, not enough showers and washing up facilities were inside with the toilets (bit odd) so couldn't wash hands if people were washing up. If washing up was moved outside under a shelter, it would be perfect. Could do with a revamp of showers, toilets etc. Everything else was great.

A lovely campsite with very friendly service!

We had a blast staying in Sunnymeade Farm! The location was perfect for visiting all the attractions in North Devon and the friendly customer service made it a joy to be on site. The kids loved the little play area and the wide open, generous spaces to run and play. The pitches are very generously proportioned and they almost always have a view of the sea. The sun sets perfectly over the sea from the campsite. The facilities are simple and dated, but clean and functional and very well positioned. It would be helpful to have laundry facilities on site. There are local laundry services, but it would be much easier if the laundry could be done on site. Other than that, we would love to visit again!

Friendly campsite with amazing sunset views

We had a fantastic stay. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The pitch was both hard standing and grass and was a great size. We loved being able to stroke the horses from our pitch. The sunset view’s were amazing. We were close to everything we wanted to do. We even caught a bus into Ilfracombe which stopped directly outside the site. We’ll definitely be back.

Excellent location

Excellent location for visiting Woolacombe and Ilfracombe... also on bus route. Quiet site, very relaxing. Owners are very welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely use again, good base for exploring the local area.
