Set in Exmoor National Park with breathtaking sea views, Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is a great choice for anyone looking for a slice of both countryside and coast. There's a large variety of non electric, electric and serviced grass and hardstanding pitches, for both campers and tourers. Or choose one of the glamping pods or geodomes for something a little extra. Pop down to Blacklands Beach for a day on the sand, a lovely getaway for all.

Really good facilities, lovely location! The field was really rocky, however, and our experience was coloured by unclear communication with the staff about early arrival charges.

Great location with easy access to Lynton and Lynmouth via a walk or short taxi ride. The walk is a bit hard-going (very steep) so got a taxi back each time for around £8. Campsite has good sized pitches and fully serviced, great shop onsite with all the basics, milk, bread etc. Will definitely be booking a stay again next year.

I think the 5 star-rating says it all! We had a great couple of days. Lynton and Lynmouth are 2 miles away and a trip on the Cliff Railway is a must! We will be booking again.

In terms of the quality of customer service, this is the best campsite I have ever stayed at! Aggie and Ian couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. After a long journey, such a pleasant greeting can't be overstated. Ian took time to explain short walks and Aggie lent me a bottle opener. Nothing was too much trouble. The site was well maintained, pitches were generous size and showers were lovely. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely campsite, good value for money! Plenty of loos and showers. Would be nice to have a vending machine for out of hours use. Staff were very friendly and helpful!

We had Bay View Pitch 1, it was beautiful views and there was a dog walk area very near by. A good sized pitch, the facilities were kept clean day and night, it was a well cared for site. There were lots of friendly people too. It was sad to leave, but will be back.

This site is fab. All staff are friendly and pitches are a great size. Location is great - being able to walk to town is great, although we needed a taxi needed coming back up 😂 We ate at the van situated there which was okay. Facilities were brilliant 🤩 Would recommend the site and would stay again.

We've just had 3 nights here and loved it! The staff were very friendly, shower block was clean, with nice hot water, and the site overall was very clean and well maintained! We're hoping to go back towards the end of the summer and would definitely recommend this site!

A lovely clean and tidy site with very good facilities. The showers were clean shower and toilets. There was a good size walking field for dogs off their lead and also an on lead dog walk available. Not far from several beaches and coves,but you do need a car to get to them.

My partner and I enjoy hiking, and if you do too, this is the best campsite to stay in! Not many shops nearby but the reception has everything you need! Lovely staff and lovely amenities! Definitely will be staying again!

Really well-kept site with wonderful, clean facilities. Dog friendly, with an on-lead walking area and an off-lead exercising area. Easy walking distance to Lynton and Lynmouth with pedestrian path direct from the campsite. Lovely staff, and freshly baked pastries available in the morning!

A beautiful site, very well looked after. The staff are friendly 😊, all facilities are kept spotless, excellent dog walking areas, lovely area for hiking. We would definitely go again, but maybe a different camping area, as we were on the Bay View area, which was on a slope 😏

This site is amazing! Very well kept, everywhere was clean and tidy, the dog field was huge and there were great views from lots of the pitches. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful, and there was a food van in the evening and fresh hot breakfast pastries available to pre order. It's worth noting that it's a very steep decent/ascent to Lynton and Lynmouth. Unfortunately, there's no bus service, however we used Riverside Taxis to bring us back up a couple of times who provided a great service!

Immaculately clean, great facilities and very friendly staff. I stayed in a dog friendly pod and it exceeded my expectations. Clean, comfy bed, equipped with all the essentials and even has fairy lights around the bed. Would recommend this campsite and hope to return with the family.

Very well laid out and maintained site. Great views to Lynmouth. Stayed on a fully serviced pitch - no problems at all. Some of the approach roads are quite steep so make sure your clutch is in good working order. Facilities were very clean, small shop with essentials.

Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is an exceptional campsite. The staff are all extremely friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional and they go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. The facilities are of an excellent standard, good capacity and very clean. Scenic views of sea and/or wooded valleys from the pitches. Lynmouth and Lynton are lovely villages and can both be reached via pleasant off-road woodland walks. The staff recommended lots of things to do locally, some highlights included visiting Valley of Rocks just outside Lynton and dinner at the 14th century Rising Sun in Lynmouth. We will return to the site before too long I'm sure!
