About Forest Yurts
An easy 30 minute walk from the edge of the national park, these yurts make for an ideal base for those looking to explore the New Forest. It's just a short 15 minute walk into the pretty village of Bransgore, whilst the onsite Sopley Lake provides the perfect spot for fishing. Each of the yurts available is handmade and crafted but with a hint of magic, each influenced by its own unique theme. As you'd expect, the exotic furnishings are gorgeous with toasty warmth provided by a wood burner and a great night's sleep by a wonderfully comfortable bed. Three of the yurts sleep four in a double bed and two singles, whilst the larger Elephant yurt offers space for up to eight with two doubles and four singles. Both the Dragon and White Elephant can also be booked together for a larger party which will then sleep six adults and six children. Guests here can enjoy unwinding in private as each yurt has its own facilities, with a hot shower, flushing loo, towels and a selection of eco-friendly bathroom products for you to enjoy. You can also rustle up some culinary delights with a private cooking station, including kitchenware, tableware, a BBQ, gas rings and a fridge. One of the great benefits of the outdoors, is that there will be a campfire ready for you outside, great for evenings of roasting marshmallows. You'll also be treated to a covered outside dining area so you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining. Four-legged friends are welcome here too, so don't forget to make room for them in the car!

For a drink or something to eat, The Woolpack is a 15 minute walk away. The nearest shop to the site is Co-op Food - Bransgore which is less than a five minute drive or a 30 minute walk away.

Great location - and a fun concept, but the abudnace of mosquitos made for an itchy experience. The Yurts do provide bug spray, but I would recommend bringing citronella candles for added deterrence!! We stayed during peak season, so the price was high, but I cannot fault the yurts for being well equipped. A change to pure cotton, from poly-cotton sheets, would make night times a bit less clammy in the summer.

The bedding and towels were clean. All beds were uncomfortable - single beds had no headboards and no chairs in yurt, so when evening or wet and windy, no where to sit and floor was very damp. Showers were nice and hot. No lighting outside or in yurt apart from 2 very small cheap camping lamps - we had to go and buy our own. Gas cooker good and fuel supplied good. No one greeted us or checked if we had everything we needed or all was well. Campsite seemed a little run down and yurts dirty on outside - as if it was a side line and not a focus business - a money earner but no customer relations or care. Setting was nice but sadly would not return. No warning of mosquitoes! Lots of them. Had to buy Deet spray still got bit 😢 We had a good time because we made it fun being out and about, but the site I would say overall was a poor experience and would not recommend it.

Lovely location, amazing local farm shop selling incredible croissants! Perfectly equipped yurt, really comfortable and warm. Shame about the mosquitoes!

Things to do on site and in the Christchurch area
Sopley Lake isn't just a tranquil spot for walks and wildlife watching, it's also teeming with wonderful fish, so bring the rod and make a day of it. A daily permit can be purchased from the farm shop.
A 30 minute walk will also take you to the edge of The New Forest National Park. Full of picturesque walking routes, wonderful cycling trails and amazing wildlife and animals including native ponies, it is the ultimate location for those looking to enjoy the outdoors.
The seaside resort of Bournemouth is also just a 15 minute drive from the site. Full of coastal charm, you can enjoy days of sunbathing on the sandy beach, playing in the arcade on the pier or paying a visit to the Russell Cotes Art Gallery and Museum.
For days of family fun, Paultons Park Home of Peppa Pig World is a 30 minute drive away. With thrill rides, toddler-friendly attractions, a water park and a zoo full of wonderful and exotic animals, there is plenty to keep everyone busy!
