This is a wonderful quiet site, good walking area for the dog. The host was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. She even helped when I forgot a few ingredients. We will definitely be back.

A lovely small campsite only 10 miles from the sandy beaches & a beautiful pub only half a mile away. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Being an adults only, the site is very quiet and we loved sitting out by the fire. Would highly recommend if you want a peaceful stay. We will most definitely be booking with them again.

Site requires a lot of work. Very patchy grass (sign that says do not park on the grass, but hard to distinguish) toilet waste and grey water is at the top of the field and up a slope then a few steps, so not easy if you are getting on in years.
Site's response
We are a woodland site, Trevor, and as you say, we specifically ask people not to park on the grassy areas for the very reason of trying to keep the grass in good condition. I'm sorry if you did not appreciate me asking various members of your group to refrain from parking on the grass. Only the Elsan point is at the top of the site and yes, I agree, for anyone very elderly or disabled this is an extra effort and we always offer to help if required. We have hundreds of reviews on other platforms commenting on how well maintained, clean and beautiful our site is. The sign asking guests not to park on the grass is on the tree in front of you as you drive in and out of the site every time.

It was exactly what we wanted and fulfilled in every way. We didn't need or want showers etc. so suited us perfectly. Wi-Fi was a welcome bonus. Lovely setting, very peaceful and charming service from Bridgette.

It was a boiling hot day and great to find a shady spot, surrounded by stunning countryside. Bridgette was kind and friendly and suggested ways to get to the nearby pub.

Such a beautiful place to stay, quiet (apart from the birds singing happily). We shall certainly be coming back.

Lovely site if you are looking for a quiet, small and rural place to stay. It is not far from a quirky tea shop and a lovely pub with excellent food and service. If you are self contained, it is perfect.

What a gorgeous little site this is. Adult only, no loos, no toilet block, no showers, no clubhouse- absolutely perfect! Lovely little dog walk area where all you can hear is birdsong - perfect. Bin area for recycling, dog poo and general waste - perfect. The Nook (what a clever idea to have a little post box, in which to place your site fees in the envelope provided)- perfect! The welcome card was a lovely touch and the Wi-Fi was fast. The site owners were really friendly. Such a peaceful place to stay and would truly recommend it. Hardstanding for motorhomes, though a little muddy in other areas. But to be fair, we had a lot of snow and rain of late, so there is not a lot the owners could do about that. In a nutshell, a gorgeous little site and so so peaceful.

2nd time staying at Dapplewood and it was lovely again! Owners were so helpful, especially when the battery on our motorhome had run flat. Lovely surroundings in a quiet woodland. Adult only and only 6 pitches so not crowded. Plenty of room and the dogs loved the woodland walk.
