Lovely small site, friendly welcome by the owner. Would recommend and use again.

Perfect Peace

Perfectly named. A real gem of a campsite, set between the trees with a private wood, restful birdsong and dappled sunlight. Taking a glass of wine of an evening, to the bench with a vista over the fields. We caught the end of the bluebells. It was just what we needed, a chance to breathe.

A lovely place to visit

Had a great time at Dapplewood. Lovely and peaceful holiday, will definitely be back.

Our stay

Charming, quaint site and the host was excellent. Also, there's a fantastic pub that does amazing food just a few minutes up the road.

Total relaxation

A wonderful spot for those seeking the peace and quiet of the countryside. Only 6 pitches so it was very quiet. No toilets or showers, but we knew this well in advance and with a tranquil setting you can understand why. Easy to hook up and park, Brigette was a great host with lots of information about the area. We would love to return.

Lovely location. Very peaceful. No toilets or showers, hence low facilities mark, but you're aware of this before you stay. I'd recommend.

Last minute stay at Dapplewood

A small and pretty site. Electric hook up and waste disposal. No facilities. Just what we wanted.

Very peaceful

This is a small, tidy, and very peaceful campsite with only 6 pitches. A real wildlife treat, if you love birds and squirrels as I do. There is a small wood, for walking your 4 legged friends. Yes, it's basic site but it doesn't pretend otherwise. Also, Bridgette, the owner was very personable and welcoming.

Peaceful stay

Great, peaceful site, would definitely use again if back in the area. It has no shower or toilet facilities but that suits us. Pitches not quite level, so ensure you have levelling chocks with you.

A little hidden gem

Dapplewood is a hidden gem. On arrival we were met by the owner Bridgette who was most welcoming. The site is ideal for a quiet getaway and is dog friendly. There is a small wood area for the dogs to stretch their legs and is so cool on very hot days. We loved the site so much we stayed an extra day. This was our first visit but it most definitely won't be our last 😎

Fabulous!

Just loved this small but perfectly formed site! Nice size pitches, wonderful welcome from Bridgette, and lovely countryside. A quiet site which suited us down to the ground. Easy walk with dogs to local pub (The Old Inn). Will definitely visit again. Real bonus is that they are very dog-friendly! Our 2 Cocker Spaniels loved it.

A great place to fully unwind. Peaceful, apart from beautiful bird song. Short walk to a lovely pub too.

Scenic and peaceful

Lovely location. Communication was very good. Personal welcome with Wi-Fi code much appreciated in the pouring rain. It was lovely to relax in such wonderful surroundings and would definitely recommend.

Secluded and small site, lovely owner and a very good local pub within walking distance.

Arrived late no problems. Lovely and quiet and lovely hosts. If we're back that way, we will stay again.

Awesome campsite

A lovely small campsite only 10 miles from the sandy beaches & a beautiful pub only half a mile away. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Being an adults only, the site is very quiet and we loved sitting out by the fire. Would highly recommend if you want a peaceful stay. We will most definitely be booking with them again.

Beautiful, small intimate site with very welcoming lady 🙏 Our first night in our new motorhome and couldn't have been better 🤗🤗

Family catch up

Site requires a lot of work. Very patchy grass (sign that says do not park on the grass, but hard to distinguish) toilet waste and grey water is at the top of the field and up a slope then a few steps, so not easy if you are getting on in years.

We are a woodland site, Trevor, and as you say, we specifically ask people not to park on the grassy areas for the very reason of trying to keep the grass in good condition. I'm sorry if you did not appreciate me asking various members of your group to refrain from parking on the grass. Only the Elsan point is at the top of the site and yes, I agree, for anyone very elderly or disabled this is an extra effort and we always offer to help if required. We have hundreds of reviews on other platforms commenting on how well maintained, clean and beautiful our site is. The sign asking guests not to park on the grass is on the tree in front of you as you drive in and out of the site every time.

Lovely

It was exactly what we wanted and fulfilled in every way. We didn't need or want showers etc. so suited us perfectly. Wi-Fi was a welcome bonus. Lovely setting, very peaceful and charming service from Bridgette.

It was a boiling hot day and great to find a shady spot, surrounded by stunning countryside. Bridgette was kind and friendly and suggested ways to get to the nearby pub.
